check the fly wheel censor ,clean or replace it , i had the same fault in a jag ,and it was the censor,usually held on with just one bolt or hex screw.

hi shifter cable most likely or the shift lock solenoid make sure u r brake light circuit works if not the shift lock wont function check brake light fuse and bulbs for short circuit honda has a place on console where u can insert a key and unlock the shifter points strait down towards the ground u should have to remove a small plastic cover the size of a key and just push in the key strait down every time u go to park u have to disengage manually like that untill the problem is fixed danny
Check your brake lights. A malfunctioning brake light switch can cause the computer to think you are not pushing the brake pedal and it won't let the transmission range selector go! Good luck
