most likely it is the transfer case leaking. known problem on the AWD models. they leak right down on the exhaust and causes the burning smell. have it checked out again.

SOURCE: Replace rear wiper on 2005 Murano

You probably already figured this out, but you have to remove the wiper arm completely in order to replace the wiper blade.

The blades are an unusual size (somewhere around 14 1/2") and I believe they are only available from a Nissan dealership. They include printed instructions in the box but just in case, this is from the official Nissan service manual:

SOURCE: 2003 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec-V clutch sticking and hard shifting

I am dealing with a very similar issue on my 03 Spec V , So far i noticed the clevis pin was loose and the locking hitch pin that slips thru it had fallen out . this caused the gears to not wanna engage due to the bolt behind the clevis which runs to the master cylinder was not getting pressed in when i pushed the clutch pedal in because the clevis pin was slippin on n off giving me no pressure up top .. I had to remove my lower dash panel in order to get visual n hand access to this pin , it is a tight spot to work in as well . May be easist to remove the 4 14mm bolts that hold yur driver seat in to give ya more room to work n stretch out ur arms

When I put my Nissan Murano into drive it does just that drive but when I want to change into tiptronic you can not use the gears as it just stays in drive.do you have any ideas of the problem

You need to first have the transmission control computer tested for fault codes, this involves a trip to a transmission repair shop or a new car dealer service dpt.

This tiptronic is a computer controlled transmission with a computer module for the transmission it holds the transmission in sport mode or regular driving modes if when in first gear there will be now shifts occur your in first just like a manual trans with out a clutch you should be able to shift to other gears in this transmission i.e 2 3 d d2 if not then the module should be checked

Nissan murano disengage from gear while driving , and plug igniter burns out often.

Check your motor and transmission mounts, it sounds like they are allowing the engine to rock backwards then forwards enough to put a strain on the shift cable causing it to move out of gear.

For the Igniter burning out, check your ground connection with the motor, make sure there's a good clean ground connection between the engine and the chassis and battery, this can cause similar problems. Clean your terminals on the battery really well also.

good luck

Freelander tiptronic shifting failure

You say up and down hill. Does it work OK on the flat? If so, there is a sensor for detecting the fact that you are going downhill and this holds the gear you are in when in auto mode to achieve engine braking. I believe failure of this should throw a fault code in the gearbox control unit if this is the case. It could be that the failure of this sensor is inhibiting tiptronic mode, but I can't be sure. Either way, get the dealer to read the codes from the gearbox, not just take it up the road and say they can't replicate the fault.

Overdrive button on shift knob doesn't work

Most likely the turning on and off might have trigered or burned out your relay switch located in the front of your engine. The overdrive button on your nissan was only ment to be used sporadically and not as a stick vehicle ( According to your expression ). You can purchase this relay in your nearest nissan dealer. Good luck.
