Does the compressor turn on ? Did you check for B+ voltage at the relay ? Do you know how to do electrical testing ? Test the B+ voltage at the A/C high pressure switch , plus the clutch cycling pressure switch . The PCM energizes the relay turning on the compressor clutch relay . This is just a guess here, but, does it have gas? If there is no gas, the compressor won't start. Also check the connections in the compressor housing, and the switch inside the car, the one that turns it on.

SOURCE: need diagram for placement of serpentine belt for 97 Ford Taurus

Auto Zone has that information on line here. You didn't say what size engine you have or whether it is OHV or DOHC, but according to their numbers, almost 90% of 97 Taurus are 3.0L OHV.

SOURCE: My 2001 Ford Taurus A/C is not working. The

Check to see if you have power at the electrical connector on the compressor. If power is there, check the ground on that connector. If both are good, the compressor or it's clutch is bad. If no power is found at the compressor connector, check for power going into the low pressure switch (found on the accumulator). Often, if the A/C is left on when the system is low on Freon, this switch will turn on and off repeatedly and be ruined. If there is no power at the low pressure cut out switch, the problem is in the dash.

SOURCE: replace a serpentine belt on a 97 ford taurus

use a 15mm box wrench on the nut retaining the tensioner pulley to pry the tensioner 'arm' against the spring to release belt. note belt routing on decal under hood,or make a sketch,to aid in replacement.
on OHV engine rotate clockwise
on OHC rotate counter clockwise
be sure belt is completely seated on pulleys

AC fan motor works, everything else works, but AC compressor does not engage and has no power...

You should have a fuse and relay in the underhood fuse box. If I remember right, the A/C fuse is at the very front of the box by itself and the relay is on the far left and the top relay towards the cowl

Recharge air consisting 97 Taurus

I assume you are talking about the a/c find the compressor then follow each line until you find the fill location. The fill location will be on the low pressure side and more then likely will be headed toward the firewall there will also be a barrel looking thing that will usually be sweating. Follow that line back tward the compressor you now have found the fill location.

Where is the oriface tube for the air conditioner located on a 2005 ford taurus

look for a line connection between the AC condenser in front of the radiator, and the AC compressor. The lines on each side of the connection should be "swollen" like a barely inflated long skinny balloon.

Leaking brake fluid from rear driver side brake lines, need a diagram of how to replace the lines. 1994 ford taurus 3.o v6.thanks

They don't make diagrams for brake lines. The lines are sold in bulk. You need to measure and duplicate the bends in the orignal lines and cut/flare the lines yourself. You will need a tubing cutter, flare tool and tubing bender.

Air conditioning 1996 Ford Explorer

You were not clear, but I assume the compressor runs OK. If not, troubleshoot the electrical to the compressor. Did you replace the orifice tube while it was discharged for service? If not, then check the pressures. If low side pressure is high the tube might be plugged, especially if you truly had a bad compressor. In a properly working system the line should be cold on the evaporator side of the orifice tube when properly charged. If compressor runs, system properly charged and that line is warm then suspect a plugged tube.

2000 Ford Taurus AC compressor not working;I tried putting freon......compressor has to kick-in in order to take in the Freon; compressor wouldn't kick in ; by pass the low pressure switch, Comp didn't...

the compressor doesn't have to be working for the gas to go in
you connect the gas to the inlet line and as the gas pressure in the system rises , the ac compressor will cut in normally and suck in the rest until the pressures are correct
of course you have to be putting in the correct gas because the switches are different
