The fact the fault resets after switching off could mean no fault codes are being recorded and a scanner with dedicated software will be needed to investigate further.
It could be a turbo overboost condition which might have nothing at all to do with the turbo. Last time I heard about a similar problem it was eventually traced to a defective egr valve.
You need to have the fault codes read with a scanner.
