With your battery measuring 12.72 volts, you might not have good contact on the battery terminals. Ensure that the clamps are cleaned with a wire brush to remove oxidation and other corrosion which can prevent current flow.

Make sure that you only add distilled water. Impurities in tap water can cause the acid to become contaminated and reduce battery life.

Although you disconnected the battery, it might experience leakage on the outside of the battery, or internal current leakage that will discharge the battery.

Other problems with your car's computer can occur when the battery is disconnected and it loses power to its memory. This can affect the car alarm too. Check your owner's manual.

Ultimately you will need a new battery.
Inthe short term, pry off the small covers and ensure there is enough acid solution to cover plates inside... Not completely full, about 3/8" down.
Then once all ok on fluid (add water if low), charge battey for a while or get a jump start. AAA is your friend for this.
Battery will not live long after being completely discharged but this may give you a little time

How do I permanently disable a DEI Automate car alarm on our 1999 Acura Integra.

Just remove it. It shouldn't be too hard, take all the parts and harness out, reconnect any cut wires and wrap any exposed wires with electrical tape.

Hello, I have a 2003 tiburon and I replaced the battery a little while ago. I have only driven it around town since. It has failed the smog test twice now and I was told that the Drive Cycle has not...

after you replaced battery you have to drive 200-250 miles for computer to get all the info about car - in other words (to engage Drive Cycle). Remember that for next time. Never go for smog test right after you disconnect and reconnect battery- for all cars.

I have a 2005 Suzuki Reno. We replaced the battery this morning which reset the sensors. We have driven the car approximately 72 miles today to try and get the sensors to work so that it will pass...

What two sensors? When a battery is disconnected and replaced, the car needs to start and stay at idle for about 20 minutes to relearn the timing etc...only then should it be taken for another 20 minutes of normal driving on road and highway at normal speeds...this should fix the issues. Start by disconnecting and reconnect the battery leads...turn to start position without starting...leave 2minutes, turn off..wait, turn on and fully start.... leave idling awhile as above...
