Randy , you are supposed to know !
I can recommend a very good crystal ball fixer or I could recommend to Joe that he thinks about his requirement and gives details like ,make , model, year ,type of engine and an intelligent question so that we can all try for an answer

But I do know. I can see the system in my head.(I'm not bald yet, so it isn't crystal) If you would like I can tell you have every thing runs and how the ABS works and how it runs electrically. Don't get me wrong Bill. I used to give out lengthy statements. Even told them what tools they needed. Maybe .1% replied. I gave them my Email address. And maybe .01% I still help today(after about 5 years) No not the 1.4 million. just a few. Everything you say, I understand. What he said was clear to me. 02 Alero, he wants to know about the brake system. Me, I don't care to explain what the entire systems contains. I would rather know his problem and pinpoint my response. Just me I guess. But I have to say, your answers are spot on.

Randy , I was not criticizing your answer, just trying to get the message across that without good detailed information the person asking the question cannot expect a good spot on answer so that is why I mentioned a crystal ball
I am on the other side of the world but many questions are asked on the assumption that I am as you are, just next door

My trac off abs and service vehicle soon lights are all on mechanic said wheel barrings are fine ,,whats the problem and is it safe to drive 425 mile out of town and back?

Probably just a wheel sensor out. It will be fine to drive that far and back. You wont have tracton control or antilock brakes. Meaning that if you slam on the brakes the tire can lock up and skid. When the abs is out it reverts to the old braking system that they used in all vehicles for decades.

I just replaced the front brake calipers on my 2002 olds alero and am attempting to bleed the brakes per a Chilton manual. I have gone around several times but the brake pedal is still spongey even though...

I think you probably did a great job on bleeding the brakes . How about checking the condition of the pads and rotor. Hopefully you replaced them and forgot to mention it in your complaint. Especially if they were full of brake fluid from the bad calipers. Sometimes were so focused on getting to the new procedure we have never done and forget the obvious like correct installiation of the pads and new caliper brake hoses. Sit down have a snack and think over what you missed . I don't think it was in the bleeding.

sounds like your ABS sensor is bad. The ABS sensor controls the trac. control. but it wouldnt effect daily driving. you would only notice it if you slamed on the brakes on a slick surface. the brakes will lock up like they ARE NOT supposed to.

Put new roders, brake pads, and calipers on 2002 Olds Alero. The brake peddle is really soft and goes almost all the way to the floor....Why is this? Car has 26,000 on it..

groan......master cylinder not brakes and rotors and what not. hopefully you kept all of you old stuff because there was probably nothing wrong with it. also, make sure that you do a realy good job bleading you break = air will cause the pedal to go down to the floor. also if you change the master cylinder, that you try and bleed most of the air out before you install it into your vehicle

Trailer break lights and running lights don't work

i would use a multimeter to read each wires operation voltage before hooking up. ex. turn on turn signal, connect meter to find which wires is pulsing.

So your saying you wired the trailer yourself? yes you need the wires to both sides for brake and running. the runners have to be all connected, and the brake all connected, hot and neutral.
