Jul 9, 2010 - I had the outside temp sensor go on my 99 Buick. I don't know where it islocated on the HHR, but it was just a plug in sensor. First thing to check is the fuses. They are under the hood I think.

Internal workings of the radio, if the radio is operating fine then your bulbs/lighting inside the radio is bad as the lights come on with power to the radio. Normally they don't replace this and just swap the radio which is expensive. If the vehicle is still under warranty I would take it back and even if its not its an 08 go and raise hell to the dealer and force them to buy you a new radio!!

There is no inside release on the HHR. Simply press in on the rear of the gas fill door and it will "pop" open. Make sure you press it in again when you close it...
