1. check all fuses yet.(cab box and engine bay box)
2. scan the obd2 port for HVAC errors
3. want cool, ? make sure blower blows in dash, on high?
4. dash hvac controls lamps glow AC on?
5. compressor under hood clutch engaged?
6. does engine run and car drive? ok>?
7. do all other electrics work? (in brief)

the CPU below has logic rules on all cars,

• fuse blown 41-43
• high/low switch tripped gee too low is 99% of the cause if R134 was not overfilled.
• the blower must blow. in dash or sorry no clutch action
• and the AC lamp glows same place or clutch is dead.
• evap core sensor not showing ICE UP.

also the PCM sees engine overloaded or overheated it cuts AC dead via the clutch below.
so check all fuses, first. as in ALL
then scan the PCM for errors at the DLC OBD2 port.


is the fuse 41 blown"? fuse 41 to 43 all good !!!
ok more fuses. gee check them all , fuse JB f3, 6, 21, and 22.

fuse 79 must not be blown. ,frankly I check all fuses. why skip any?
the relay A/c is in the iDPM (and its fuses)
we scan the OBD2 scan port. this AC needs Can_bus network to fully functional or this A/C can go dead./
the Hi/low pressure switch R134 will trip it all off line if too low
or too high both,someone overfilled it. oops, off line it goes.
The IDPM under hood IS A computer, and does not nothing if can_bus fails.

the IPDM many relays there(LOTS) do NOT REMOVE.
NO socket for A/C relay and NO Rn R number assigned

then scan the PCM is 2nd.

fuse F12 cab JB powers ESC ,compressor control valve. at pin2 above.
if the HVAC main controls "ATC" does not send a DEMAND for AC
the CLUTCH does not Energized ever.
the blower must work
JB fuses for ATC must be good, cab box
Fuse #6 ,10,11,12 and 19.
ignition relay dead ,so be AC/ relay, but engines runs. so not this.
if the ATC sees any damper motor dead, it may stop A'/C

CHECK REFRIGERANT CHARGE. USING A MANIFOLD GAUGE SET. HOOK MANIFOLD GAUGE SET TO LOW PRESSURE PORT AND HIGH PRESSURE SIDE PORT. LOW SIDE PRESSURE SIDE SHOULD HAVE 25 - 36 PSI AND HIGH PRESSURE SIDE SHOULD BE 178 - 237 PSI. IF LOW SIDE PRESSURE SIDE READ BELOW 20 PSI THE LOW PRESSURE SWITCH WILL NOT TURN ON THE AC COMPRESSOR CLUTCH NEED TO ADD LITTLE MORE REFRIGERANT. IF REFRIGERANT LEVEL CORRECT CHECK AC COMPRESSOR FUSE AND RELAY.IF POWER GOING TO AC COMPRESSOR CLUTCH YOUR COMPRESSOR CLUTCH HAS OPEN WINDING. AC COMPRESSOR CLUTCH NEED REPLACING.

If you are talking about the AC, then I suggest cleaning or replacing the cabin air filter located behind the glove box. See your owners manual for details. If problem persists replace the AC clutch relay ( rockauto.com $11), located in the under hood fuse box towards the front of the fuse box.

you will have to see with test light if you have power going to the ac compressor you either have bad compressor or low pressure switch

check the compressor clutch relay. The contacts may have fused together. If there is something constantly enegizing the coils then it is either a bad switch or a shorted lectronic component, usually a single transistor inside an electronic control box.

in the relay box under the hood a big black box and usually 3 or four relay fuse buy one and check each one seperatly if not your clutch burnt out
