The fuel filter is located under the middle row of seats on the driver's side of the vehicle. This is a brief description of what to do. There is a plate to remove, then another one (a bit harder to do because it's a tight fit with the hands) and then you will see the top of the tank with the fuel pump and filter unit. Remove the connector for the wiring harness and then start the engine and let it run until it stops - this removes the pressure from the fuel lines. Then remove the fuel lines from the top of the unit and undo the securing bolt or bolts - I can't recall the exact way it is mounted into the tank. Once you get the unit out the filter can be removed - be careful with the 0-ring replacement, it is critical not to damage the o-ring as the pump will not work properly if the seal is not perfect.
