Hi, your transmission definitely could be going out. You could flush it and put in nice fluid. Check the cable and the sensors. If you have larger wheels or rims that would be a factor in it going out sooner. Also if you drove it hard it most likely would be going out right about now. Be careful though it could at this point just completely go out and you will be stuck somewhere. Look for used transmissions, that car if its rear wheel drive will be easy to drop it and replace it.

Flushing your transmission will actually do more harm than good. Sure, it stirs up everything so that you can pull out the contaminants, but stirring up the debris will clog the valve body and can damage the filter. The best thing to do, if you are looking at changing the transmission fluid is to drop the pan and drain it, then you can replace the filter too and then put a new gasket on there and refill it.

P0756 code Honda accord 2005

P0756all p07 codes are tranny.

  • Shift Solenoid 'B' Stuck Off (read the FSM page on 756 it tells you how to do the checks )

  • if 756 is cleared. (reset it using the scan tool, drive 20 miles, still set?)?

if you get them clear, all DTCs
do the tranny stall test. stated n the FSM.
stall the torque converter. in 1st gear, parked.
if rpm is too low the engine has power issues
if Rpm is way too high (slip?) bad tranny. (or wires to it)

1984 Bronco chugs going up hill. It does not go any faster wehen giving more gas.

Does it shift down to lower gear as normally did? If yes, and tune-up has been done recently, perhaps having it tested for plugged exhaust may be a good idea. (catalytic converter) Slow or little acceleration at highway speeds another symptom, as well as decrease in fuel mileage.

Stalls at low speed when in cruise control

You sould have recieved a "recall" notice in the mail about the cruise control for fire and failure issues. they are adding a fusable link where the cruise control harness connects to the brake master cylinder. if you have not had the recall performed yet you should SERIOUSLY consider getting it done, mainly so it doesnt catch fire, but "could" be the result of the failure you've been experiancing! btw, almost ALL Ford vehicles have been affected with the cruise control recall. hope this helps!

Stalls out when braking quickly, worse with going down hill

Assuming that the vehicle is equipped with an automatic transmission, it looks like the torque converter lock-up system doesn't release as fast as it should, so if you brake hard, the converter is still locked up and your wheel brakes stall your engine (just like pressing ******* the brakes with the clutch pedal released on a manual transmission vehicle). Normally, when you brake hard, the lock-up should release and prevent the stall from happening. Might be a bad torque converter, or a bad lock up solenoid in the transmission... Before jumping to anything else, i'd try checking the fluid level in the transmission and an oil/filter change in the transmission. Lots of times one or the other can cure the problem.

2000 VW Jetta squealing when shifting from 2-3rd and hard shift down when going up hill

hi if its just second to thrid then the clutch is slipping on thrid gear look at the boxes oil level is important but look at the colour is it red and tranperant as this is ok if its brown its a sign of the clutches slipping i would try a stall test on thrid gear first and if its ok second gear [manually] see is the engine stalls at the correct rpm if you thinkabout it imagine you are in thrid gear in a manuual box and suddenly drop into second it would be hard shifting it could also be a faulty thrid gear solenoid yates210456
