Re: Removing/replacing right rear molding on 1999 Mercury...
- The molding on the right rear of a 1999 grand marqui is simple to remove & does not take any special tools.
- The molding has a sticky back on it but can be pulled off by hand.
- The ends that stick through the holes in the finder are held in place by a soft epoxy & have to be cut with a knife or razor.
- After you cut it, pull it out of the hole & pull the molding out of the grove.
- After market molding can be purchased at most auto parts stores.
- Make sure to clean all epoxy from the ends & the glue that was on the back of the molding.
- Save the old molding so you can cut the new molding in the same way. It comes in a role & not cut individually for you.
- hope this helps.
