Need help with Unresponsive Driver Side Power Seat Controls and SRS Air Bag Warning Message on 2008 Volvo S40 2.4i

If you are experiencing unresponsive driver side power seat controls and an SRS (Supplemental Restraint System) airbag warning message on your 2008 Volvo S40 2.4i, it could be caused by a few different issues, such as:
  1. Faulty seat control module: The seat control module is responsible for controlling the power seat functions. If it is faulty, the seat controls may not work and the airbag warning message may appear.
  2. Wiring issue: A damaged or corroded wire connection can cause the seat controls to become unresponsive and the airbag warning message to appear.
  3. Sensors issue: The seat and airbag system rely on a variety of sensors to function properly. If any of these sensors are malfunctioning, it can cause the seat controls to become unresponsive and the airbag warning message to appear.
  4. Airbag module: The airbag module is responsible for controlling the airbags in the vehicle. If it is faulty, the airbag warning message will appear.
It's best to have a professional technician diagnose the problem and recommend the appropriate course of action. Sometimes, the problem can be solved by replacing a faulty module, repairing or replacing damaged wiring or sensors, but in some cases the repair may be more complex.
It's important to note that the airbag warning light should be taken seriously and repaired as soon as possible, as it can indicate a problem with the airbag system that could affect the safety of the vehicle in case of a collision.

Light stays on 2010 citroen C4 driver airbag

there are airbag connectors under the front seats. I have had an experience with another car and found faulty connectors, Because it is happening all the time, I would start looking at the Drivers side first. Maybe change the connector or add a piece of wire around the connector. Not the switch in the seat, jus the wire connectors,

Airbag light on 2001 sonata, also small modular under pasanger seat broken cover, and under driver seat there is a wonnector that does'nt go anywhere. thank's

First the airbag system can be dangerous to work on and it is usually best to consult a professional since to accidental inflation of an airbag can cause injury, do not cut any wires and disconnect the battery when working on the system.
When the airbag light is on it disables the airbag system inmost vehicles meaning if there is a collision the airbags will not deploy. Some autoparts stores can check codes which is where to start with the warning light on and modular connected check the airbag trouble codes with this information it will be easier to diagnose the system and the cause of your problem. I hope this helps

The odometer light is out on my 2002 Ford Escape. This is a new issue. The air bag passenger side warning light comes on after 5 minutes of driving. The air bag warning light has been an ongoing issue....

The airbag light is probably an issue with the connector under your front seats. Look under the seats and you'll see the cables. Do NOT disconnect them. Just push them in tight. See if the light problem goes away. The conenctor gets off kilter when you put the head rests (from the back seat) under the front seat. Toss them in the back from now on.

BTW: You can get the computer to tell you the problem code with the air bag simply by watching the airbag lamp flash when you turn the key to 'on'. It will flash with short and long pauses. Count the flashes for each digit. For instance, 4 quick flashes, a pause, and then 3 flashes equals code 43. Then do a Google search of ford airbag code /your number here/. Odds are its the passenger side airbag connector. Do what I said above.

If you get tempted to disconent the cable, PLEASE do some google searching first. I 'think' this could cause a problem. Maybe not. But I only needed to push my connector in tighter to fix my problem.

Airbag warning lights flashing on dashboard of mazda premacy 52 reg can I reset to clear these lights myself?

there are a quite a few problems associated with the airbag light flashing. The light will flash in long and short frequencies, this is a diagnostic code, e.g. two long flashes followed by six short flashes equals code 26, which is clockspring. Other codes are: 46 and 47 connector under seat, 3 power supply etc.

After changing the front seats in a bmw mini cooper, the red air bag light remains permenantly on.....how do i turn it off?

Hi, BMWs have a history of showing unnecessary light alerts on the dashboard ...especially if they have outlived their roadlife. You need to check is there is any opening in your airbag windows...if none, simply ignore it....it will turn off itself with time.
cheers

Airbag warning light

Most likely a problem with the passenger seat sensor, BUT you always start by getting the trouble code from the computer. Otherwise you're just guessing.

Airbag light

This is either a problem with one or both of your airbags or the airbag connector located at the back of the glovebox has been disconnected for some reason. (ie. to prevent airbag opening when installing baby seat) (1999 miata does not have a baby seat airbag disabling sensor).

You should get your car inspected at your local mazda service to check if this is a wiring (plug disconnected) issue or one of your airbags is malfunctioning and needs to be replaced.

Flashing airbag light could indicate that either one of the airbags or both have a problem. Disconnecting the passenger's airbag has the same effect.

Warning! Do NOT attempt to do any kind of airbag/airbag wiring related repair yourself. Airbag problems should be addressed ONLY by certified technicians at your local Mazda service. (Airbag fixing requires for example that the car battery is disconnected, you MUST NOT attempt anything with the car battery connected).

Hope this helps.

Air bag warning light stays on

You have to use VagCom (the diagnostic software that Audi uses) to turn off an airbag warning light. If you have a laptop that can go out to your driveway, go to www.ross-tech.com and download VagCom (it's free). Go on eBay and do a search for "Audi TT vagcom cable" and you'll find the interface cable for about $20. Buy that, and then you'll have the software to do it.

If you're not able or interested in it, you can go to the dealership and have them turn off the light - they'll charge you an hour's labor to do it (it takes less than four minutes, but they don't care - you're going to pay them between $60-100 to do it).

What you need to see is which bag is tripping the warning. On the A4s, it's usually the driver's side airbag (built into the seat). Moving the seat too far back or down tends to pull on the electrical connector for the airbag, separating it just enough to trip a warning light. When mine did this in my A4, I zip-tied the connector tightly to keep it from separating, then turned off the light, and have had no problems since. When you look under the seat for the connector, it's the yellow one (airbag wiring connectors are always yellow, as mandated by law). Just be careful not to pinch the wires when you tie it.
