remove upper and lower steering column covers. Unplug ignition switch and remove ignition barrel bolts should have access to steering lock to remove it
turn the wheel where the lock on the steering wheel will allow locking pawl to go in its slot. If that doesn't work you'll probably need a new ignition switch or some other part in the steering wheel locking system.
Sometimes the mechanical system that locks your steering wheel has too much vehicle weight which can prevent the key from turning. If you can move the vehicle back and forth while someone turn the steering wheel and turn the ignition switch.
grab the steering wheel & try to turn it from side to while turning the ignition,,sounds like the steering wheel is lock to one sde & wont let the ignition turn
sort of a solution. if you can get the ignition to turn to the off position there is a pin under it you can push and pull the whole thing out and start it with a screwdriver. or you can take out one screw from behind the ignition on the little black thing and you can start it with anything. i'm not sure if that will unlock the steering column though. hope this helps
