I have a 2006 Mazda tribute with the universal garage door opener in the rearview mirror (factory). There are no instructions in the owner's manual for how to set it for your home's garage door opener (in my case a Genie Pro Max). Can you offer any advice as to how to set the opener control on the mirror to work? Thanx a million!

Sinc garage door opener with a 2009 Hyundai Sonata

Take your remote and hold it up towards your rear view mirror or your visor whitchever is the one with 3 buttons of your homelink , also make shure that your opener has a program button which come in different colors depending on the year of the machine, if you have a program button on your powerhead of your garage door opener then you can mostlikely program your car to it! The button on garage door opener comes in different colors such as yellow, green ,orange, black, grey and black ! make shure your opener has one of these buttons! Now take your remote and point it within a few inches of your visor/rearview mirror and hold the button down that oppens that door....now press the first button on your car mirror/visor until the door opens up , it take sometimes a few trys but remember to leave your car running while doing this and have it outside the front of your garage door while doing this!

My garage door stopped, just out of sight in the rearview mirror-the brake light section above the rear window now has a lot of broken clips-yes, I hit the garage door --- it stays on, but. should I try to...

if it is just the clips i used epoxy putty to hold it on and its still holding up and that was a year ago but just do it in spots so you can open it to replace bulbs

2012 hyundai tucson setting the garage door opener that is located in rear view mirror

Thanks filter4991;
1. Press and hold button on car's rearview mirror
2. Press and hold button on garage door opener's remote control.
3. Light on Rearview mirror will flash rapidly.
4. Release both buttons.
5. Locate learning button on garage door opener (generally this can be found by tracing the antennae to where it is attached to the unit.)
6. Press and release "Learning button"
7. Press and release rearview mirror button repeatedly until garage door opens/closes but it should work the first or second time.

Worked on Genie Intellicode and Hyundai Tuscon

I need a maintenance schedule for my 2006 Mazda Tribute i that I just purchased used. Anyone know where I can find one?

You can find the maintenance schedule in the owners manual. If you do not have an owners manual you can pick one up at your dealers parts department.

Custom Rear view mirror

Hiya...ALL factory-installed rearview mirrors are installed with different wires due to options.
About 6 different rearview mirrors are installed with those options such as On-Star, light, compass, and those features which use different wires....THIS CANNOT be modified with different rearview mirror....**for example, the Equinox owner attempt to pull out a factory-installed base rearview mirror and put in different one that has compass/temperature built into the rearview mirror**

However, the wires are located inside the front headliner which requires removing the sunvisor (and possible removal of interior plastic trim part at the left/right ends of the windshield) prior to pull the headliner down, and a small metal philips or torx screw is used to secure the rearview mirror onto the bracket glued to the windshield.

The best solution is to leave the original factory-installed rearview mirror in place.
