A key code is a series of alphanumeric characters used by locksmiths to create a key. There are two kinds of key codes: blind codes and bitting codes.
In other words you can only start a car with the key that they have programed your car to start with. The keys them self have a chip inside and the cars computer reads that chip so it knows it not being stolen.
If your having problems with it do the following.
TAKE YOUR TITLE AND REGISTRATION AND ID TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY CAN CUT A KEY BY THE VIN NUMBER
