On something like this your better off replacing the tank with new one ,id rather not fix something this new . don't forget to drain gas b4 you start and don't forget to purchase new fill seal gasket and level sensor (you'll never get old one out to reuse it ) new tanks don't come with them !! and don t use electric pump to drain gas out !!!(boom!!) me I have an old siphon fish tank pump I use for this purpose !! and I don't use it for fish !!

Hi I have a 2005 Mitsubishi Outlander It starts to leak gas when it hits about 3/4 full could it be tank or filler neck and how can I see the problem

I would say tank. If the filler neck was leaking, it would be doing it the entire time you fill up. Get it fixed ASAP- that can be a serious fire hazard.

When refueling my 2005 outlander east extremely difficult to start. If i go out right now and remove the gas cap there is no problem, only when i get fuel.

You may have some water in the tank. Normally it is below the pickup, but fueling stirs it up. Have a mechanic loosen the fuel line at the motor, shake the car, and then pump some fuel to test for water.

2004 Mitsubishi Outlaner will not start after getting gas. has happened 4 times in last 5 months.

After getting gas, you mean after refueling? but will start after sitting for a while? I would be checking the Injector leak down/fuel pressure regulator OR catlic converter.

The tank has to be dropped. So think long before you try this on you own.

I have a 2004 outlander SUV Mitshuisi. I ran out of gas 5 feet from the gas pump so I coasted in to the pump put gas in now it will not start. Do you know what the problem is ?

probably needs to be primed. Sometimes it takes a few minutes for fuel pump to get fuel up to injectors. That or fuel filter is clogged, when you run the tank almost dry any sediment and dirt gets sucked into fuel pump.
