SOURCE: ball joints repair on a 1997 chevy blazer

If they are the original ball joints you will have to remove the rivets on them. The new ones should come with replacement nut and bolts. You will have to remove the brakes, and move the steering knuckle out of the way (You don't have to remove the tie rod end). It isn't difficult, just time consuming. You can do it in the driveway on stands. Make sure you have a couple hours, and a case of beer.

SOURCE: The 1997 Chevy Malibu does not have a dipstick for the transmissi

with just a fluid and filter change it is 7.4 qts. heres how to check it!! jack up car get it as level as possible, start car and let run, get under car when running and take out the plug just in back of tranny pan. if car is not running you will lose fluid, so make sure its running. before removing plug, go thru all gears and end back in park, if fluid just seeps out you are ok!! if it pours out it is to full.place pan to catch fluid,to add the red cap on top of tranny under hood on drivers side about 2 feet down, it is under exhaust on v6. use a tranny funnel to reach hole to fill.

In the glove box behind a plastic panel. There are 3 relays in there. The fuel pump is the one closest to the drivers side.

Where do you add transmission fluid? I can't find it! 99 Chevy Blazer

There should be a dipstick tube and dipstick on the passenger side of the engine compartment, at the back of the motor, very near the firewall. The dipstick should have a red grab handle on it.

hi you should have a dipstick to the right hand side of the engine at the back, pull this out and fill it from there, be sure to have the engine running when you do this as most people fill it with the engine stopped, this is wrong for an auto transmission and use dexron2 oil...hope this helps
