The PCM grounds the coil to produce spark. You can use a scan tool (not a code reader) to energize the individual coils while monitoring the circuit with a volt meter or a test light. If the PCM is supplying ground to the 2/5 and 1/4 coil but not the 3/6 coil than you know you either have a wiring issue between the pcm and the coiul pack or the pcm is bad.

What is the order of placement in the coil of the spark plug cables of a kia carens 2.0

=No real engine told of 8 (2L)fail this is.
didnt replace the HV wires 1 at time, ouch
well the new coils and some OEM coil packs have marks there
1999 to NOW. made, and 2006 RANDO USA
no country told at all, and parts are sold by Country , year and by engine type. there are 10 2.0L engines used in 23 year. ouch
nobody can guess and 8 engines not diesel but is petrol o

why post at all , lacking year of car,why make this so hard.?

Inline 4 cycl.
#1 cylinder is on crank pulley end #4 is flywheel (tranny end)
F1,2,3,4R
to do this, you need 3 facts above is fact one
fact to is ,1,3,4,2 PCM doest that so we ignore it on single packs
then the pack in hand photos.
your pack is called wasted spark.
1>4 and 3>2 ( 1 is front spark, 4 is rear, )(rear means tranny end)
the pack marked on good packs is yours marked.
I guess this.
99 to 06??????????????????
All Beta engine versions are equipped with a Distributorless Ignition System (DIS). The system consists of the ignition coil assembly, Camshaft Position Sensor (CMP), Powertrain Control Module (PCM), spark plug wires and spark plugs.
Kia Euro Carens (Taiwan, facelift)
Kia X-Trek (South Korea, diesel facelift)
Naza Citra (Malaysia, facelift)

pack 2000 year beta 2 engine my wild guess and
NGK makers theres,. so buy one or pretend to. and find it.
Ignition Coil NGK 48230 #1 ;left, , #2 far right. (there are 2 coils HV inside)

Isuzu 2ltr bakkie nmbr 2 and 3 no spark?

post 3, adds, no spark , 2/3 (and still no year, no country stated)
bad coil pack?
wired wrong, this pack.
no photo of the engine, nor real name of it, Petrol.
btw, we dont have "BAKKIE" here. not a single one.
nor KB trucks, either.
what spark system this car has, im clueless.
4 coils or 1 pack.? if one pack , replace all spark wires
if one pack system , if either 2/3 wire opens, both cylinders go dead. try new spark wires. high voltage,

or you measured spark wrong, on 1 pack car.
it takes 2 spark plugs do do that. 2 good plugs and 2 good wires,
#2 and #3, due to the fact they are wired, in SERIES.
see its called wasted spark system, with 1 coil pack and no distributor..
the testing is unique. on this, setup.
try new spark plugs, gapped correctly
and 4 new HV wires,
I bet its go. if not the coil pack is toasted.

2004 chrysler van 3.8 motor replaced coil pack still doesnt fire number 4 cylinder

If the coil pack has a four wire connector, one wire is primary voltage, the other three wires are ground, one ground for each coil, one coil fires two spark plugs. If problem with coil or ground, you would lose spark for two spark plugs. Did you visually check for spark, everywhere? What about the spark plug wire or the spark plug, itself?

My service engine light is flashing.the van is also running rough.1996 town and country van over 200,000 miles but maintained well

On yours, it's a misfire. Plug, wire or coil pack. Have the codes read. this will tell you where to look. 301 is 1 cylinder 303 is # 3. and so on. Pull the wire off the coil, have it close, no spark, replace the coil. Spark, do a tune up. Plugs and wires.

What causes no spark at plugs on 2002 chrysler town and country

it could be a bad crank sensor but it should have set the check engine light, check for codes anyway as there may be a code set. other things are bad ignition wires, coil pack, lose of power to coil pack, no ground for coil system, the PCM controls ground for the coils so it could be bad connection, bad coil drivers or just a PCM problem.

My suzuki vitara 20v6 number one plug is not

its a 2.0L V6 called the h20 engine
in some countries, this engine uses a coil pack with 1 coil per
2 cylinders, this magic is called Wasted spark.
some have 3 coil packs for 6 cylinders
others have 1 huge pack with 3 coils inside.
what you have , im totally clueless, (no country stated, dig?)

but no matter, the pack is bad, or the wire that is FINE, is not FINE
no human on earth can test a HV wire, no body.! ( 1 out of 4 sure)
that is fact, (sure if opened) but what about the other modal failiures.
1: insulation breakdown.
2: resistance wrong, (say too high)
3: intermittent.
4: dead open, anyone can test this, its a no brainer. if ever.

this fact is why the 60k mile tune up, will fix it. new wires.
new HV wire set, I run NGK MAG wires, they last 2x longer.
easy.

no only that. with wasted spark , the other plug in the loop can cause your dead plug to be dead. and its wires too.
that is because it is a LOOP

if both plugs are new and both wires are new
then the coil is bad.
coil packs are usually way more expensive that $2.49 spark plugs
or $20 wires.

Would a 2001 Chrysler town and country faulty engine module cause number 2 cylinder not to fire

not likely, since the engine module also fire the plug across from the #2 cylinder on the coil pack. check for spark directly at the coil, if none is found ,then most likely a bad coil pack.

How can I check to see if my distributor is bad on my 2001 Chrysler Town and Country?

A 2001 town and country does not have a distributor.

It uses a coil pack (three coils with 6 terminals in one assembly) that supplies spark to each cylinder through the ignition wires. The coil recieves its signal to spark from the computer which looks at various inputs like the crank sensor, throttle position, etc.

Can you describe the problem you are having?

If you have no spark out of any of the coils than the first thing I would check is for power at the coil pack. If there is power the next thing to check is the crank sensor.\

I can give you more info on this if you want to check into it further, just let me know.

1996 chrysler town and country running on 5 cylinders no spark at all to #1 cylinder had it checked out diagnostic tool said something about a secondary circuit and I was told it was the vehicle computer...

Your fuel consumption will be high and if you keep driving it, you will end up needing a new catalytic converter very soon. I would have the coil module tested.
