I have a 2008 Lancer GTS. The fuse box is completely different. Does anyone know whic fuse is for the cigarette lighter on this model?

First place to look is the owner's manual. Should be a roadside emergency chapter in it with a list of fuses and usually a schematic to locate it. If worse comes to worse a local AutoZone or Advance Auto store will generally change the fuse for you if you are uncomfortable with the process.

Actually, my wiring info calls it a power outlet. Note the picture. That fuse should be in the integrated power module, under the hood. Usually a fuse has a bare spot over each fuse leg, use a test light, If both legs light-up, so far so good.

In the diagram, the top wire is voltage, bottom wire is ground. You have to have both or it won't work. The ground wire is black.

in a lancer the fuse number is no 9--- 10 amp
the fuse cover shows it as 24 which is not there
