The diagnostic connector is located on the engine near the starter. However, there are four connectors in that location and without pictures it would be difficult to determine which is the proper one

Passive retraints on both diver and passenger side stopped working at the same time. The fuse if fine. I assume that the motor has gone out and needs to be replaced. Is my assumption correct? If...

Each shoulder belt has its own motor, so it's not a motor issue. The motors are in the panels by the 2 nd row seats.

Go to our site and read the files on this and the pics i put there showing what it looks like.

The motor for the front seatbelt wont stop. Is there a fuse to stop it?

There is a connector that provides power to the seat belt motor/sensor in the doorpost (passenger side) or behind the LH wall molding (driver side).
Not sure where the stop sensor is, but I think part of the drive track assembly.

I chose to replace the drive track assembly on my driver side when it was sticking / cutting out in cold weather.

Info . on the motor

not an interference motor. change the timing belt to fix.

Just be sure it's not the fuel pump or distributor first.

Check for brown dust under distributor cap & rotor. If yes, replace distributor. Ebay for part.

Power seat not working

Circuit Protection
Power is supplied to the seat motors through the 30A POWER WINDOW fuse. The fuse is located in the LH engine compartment fuse junction panel and is hot at all times. The circuit breaker is behind the interior fuse junction panel and prevents current overload and component damage.

Rear Air & Heat does not work on '97 Mercury Villager.

It's probably the cracked solder joint on the control assembly in the frony. I fix them all the time and sell them for $30 plus shipping. I always keep a spare repaired in my garage. villagers & Quests are noted for this. Don't know why you don't have lights on rear panel. I keep a spare one of those too, but it should have no affect on heater performance. Let me know if you are interested. You have to send yours back to me though.

If you are a techie, I will refer you to our Villager forum where there are files and photos on everthing about Villager & Quest issues.

http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/villagerquest/

see the circleed area where the bad solder joint is on the backside of the control head.

1991 CIVIC LX AUTOMATIC SEATBELTS NOT WORKING.

I had a problem on a 91 Civic DX where the drivers auto seat belt wouldnt move and the beeper would not stop.Had a blown seat belt fuse.Replaced the fuse no more problem. The Seat belt fuses are located under the red cover that covers the positive battery terminal. On mine the fuse closest to the font of the car was for the drivers side auto seat belt the one closest to the windshield is for the passager seat belt. They are green and rated at 30A.

Seat Belts/Front Seats

seats use heavy corrent & use relays instead of fuses. check relays in fuse panel. see chart on cover or owner manual for location.

Also, this is for 96 villager seats.
