This could be the fuse check the fuse panel. This could be the resistor in the heater plenum behind the glovebox, it could also be the heater fan motor. The easiest thing to check is the fuse, then use a volt meter on the heater fan motor and if you have voltage there, it is the motor. If not it is most likely the resistor.

Testimonial: "I already checked the 30 amp fuse and I took the heater fan motor completely out and used jumper wires from it to the battery and it came on just fine. I changed the resistor already."

Did you not read what I have done so far because the heater fan motor tested fine when I took it out and hooked jumper wire from it to the battery It came on and ran just fine. I already changed the resistor.

This only leaves 2 possibilities, one is the actual heater control for the fan and the other is the ignition switch.

  • Ranae Stull Oct 23, 2016

what do you mean the heater control? Like the switch you turn the heater on with? I replaced that. What does the ignition switch have to do with the heater or ac not working? The car turns on and runs just fine and was running just fine when it quit blowing I was driving when it happened? Thanks so much for trying to help I appreciate it.

The ignition switch controls all electrical connections including the heater and accessories. It wears out.

They use a relay!!! check the relays

  • Ranae Stull Oct 23, 2016

OK where are the relays because there is not any listed in the fuse boxes only fuse I find is the HVAC 30amp fuse and it is good. If you could help locate the relays that would be awesome.

  • Brad Brown Oct 23, 2016

It is listed as an IP fuse bosx, that would be instrument panel. I am looking at good images and they could be wronghttps://duckduckgo.com/?q=2003+saturn+l2...
Go to auzone.com and make a free account, logon to that account and put in the year make and model of the car and then go to repair guides, look for electrical and you should see the diagrams for all the wiring.

  • Ranae Stull Oct 23, 2016

Um I went to autozone as you said I already have an account with them and it does not have any diagrams for my saturn unfortunely and I clicked on the link you provided and it takes to me to a diagram for a 2000 saturn and it looks different than than any of the fuse boxes on my saturn.

You need to fix the coolant leak, then refill and bleed cooling system, then you will get heat and cure overheating problem too

I have a 2003 Monte Carlo SS. The dual climate control doesn't seem to work properly. With AC going, passenger side blows cold air but the drivers side blows warm air as if it is set for "vent". I replaced...

check the actuator motor and make sure it is moving the doors between the heater and the ac. it is in the center of the heater inside the car and is a small motor attached to the heater housing.

2003 Saturn L300 AC reads OC EXT and blows ambient air.

I'm going to say the outside temp sensor is damaged or disconnected.
The body computer does not know what the outside temp is so the system is disabled. The sensor is probably in the grille area or behind the bumper cover.

I HAVE A 1995 SATURN CAR 1.9L AND THE QUESTION IS. THE AC BLOWS BUT ITS LIKE THE HEATERS ON, AND THE COMPRESSER ENGAGES BUT DOESNT BLOW COLD AIR, I CAN SWITCH THE POSITION OF WHERE I WANT THE AIR TO COME...

Most likely the freon has leaked from the system. Replacing it is a fairly simple process, but finding and repairing the leak is expensive (labor wise). Plus, in the States, federal law prohibits non-licensed personnel from working with freon and it's descendants. Find a good AC service shop and get an estimate--you may not need that AC air as much as you thought! Good luck!

AC blows hot air

it will be more seals or a very hard to find leak in the evaporator core or condensor
