Is there a light on the instrument cluster SECURITY , lights up when you turn the key on ? Not start just on . If no light ,it doesn't have anti-theft .

No security system then ! What problem are you having ? No start ? When you turn the key to the start position does anything happen ? engine spins or not ?
at times when i turn the key i get no instrument panel lights, motor turns over but no start, however the clock does light up. i checked the battery terminals and they are fine, did have a little corrosion, but cleaned them. when i do get the instrument panel lights, i can also hear the fuel pump. otherwise when i get no panel lights, no pump, no start...
Sounds like a lose connection somewhere , bad ground wire for the instrument cluster . Ground wire for instrument cluster up under the dash or on the A- pillar .The A-pillar is the metal part of the vehicle that the drivers door hook's to .In side under the dash driver side is a plastic panel , called kick panel . If you pull it off look for wires with metal eyelets bolted to the metal of the body of the vehicle .Or pull the instrument cluster an check connections for corrosion or lose fix issues . Tap on the dash when the lights don't come on an see if they come on then ,lose connection
