I replace a new alternator and When I start the engine the battry light stay on I replace a new alternator and the battry light is still on I check the battry volts with the engine off it is 13 volts and I check the charging volts while the engine is running it is 13.9 volts why is the battry light staying on what else can I check and how do I fix the problem?nd the battry light is still on this is a 2007 Toyota camry LE 2.4L.
Does it stay on when you have driven the car for a few minutes? if you did not drive it , try that

i drove the car over 100 miles the battry light is still on what i do next to fix the problem?
sounds like it is not a charging issue but it might be the signal cable . did you put all cables and connectors back into place? the signal cable is a thinner cable then the rest.. it could also be a thin grounding cable wich was under a tightening nut somewhere
I put back everything I took off what does the signal cable look like and where is it located?
