The fuse of which you speak should have two metal tabs that press into the two slots holding it.
The part you see should be clear colored plastic.
Between the two "spades" that plug in, is a piece of wire the shape of an inchworm.
That metal should be burned into two parts if it is blown.
Know, however, a fuse can be no good and still look good.
Try some replacements.
God bless your efforts.

SOURCE: which fuse operates the ac & heater blower.

There is a fuse box inside the car to the left of the steering column. fuse 228 10 amp and fuse 208 40 amp. Check power to the blower motor connector. Check for water in blower. I have seen water get into blower motor and short out. Good luck I hope this helps.

2002 jeep grand cherokee heater fan wont turn on when you turn the dial.

Do you know how to test automotive electrical circuit's , looking at a wiring diagram so you know what all is involved in the blower motor circuit . Using a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter to test the circuit . Free wiring diagram's here http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Enter vehicle info. year , make , model an engine size . Under system click HVAC ,then under subsystem click on HVAC controls . Click the search button then the blue link .The thing's that could be wrong , blower motor it's self , the blower motor controller for automatic climate control , a blown fuse -but fuse's don't just blow for no reason - short to ground maybe ! 40 amp fuse #1 in the under hood fuse box . Blower motor resistor block if your vehicle has manual climate control .

How do I know which fuse controls the ac/heat blower motor? How do you know when a fuse is blown?

Pull two fuses, and compare them.
A "blown" fuse will not have any wire connecting the two ends, while the "good" fuse will visibly have a thin wire.

Not having Heat

If your blower isn't coming on you should check your fuses first. Don't know what kind of car it is but should be a fuse panel inside car under dash and one under the hood. Could also be a short in the switch.

Blower motor to heat and defroster does not work

you may only have a blown heater blower fuse, look in the fuse box for a blown fuse.check both fuse boxes, including the black fuse box under the hood. if fuses are good, try tapping on the fan box on driverside under dash, sometimes leaves get in it and stop it up. if you don't find the fan box under passenger side dash, look under hood on passenger side on firewall. hope this helps and thank you for choosing fixya.com

When i turn on the wipers ,the heater blower goes

Look in the fuse/relay panel under the dash on the drivers side for a blown fuse controlling wipers. Also look under the hood at the fuse/relay panel for a blown fuse controlling the a/c blower motor. Look under the covers of both fuse/relay panels and it will tell you were the proper fuse or relay is located in each panel. hope this will help you.

Can't talk to the odb2 on a silverado 2001 what fuse is blown and where is the fuse located

Not sure what fuse it is but it will tell you on the fuse panel cover which is located on the drives side of the dash. There are some more fuses under the hood but the ones on side of the dash should be the right ones.
