SOURCE: front drivers seat electric position button won't move seat back
Check the fuse. The fuse box is located on the passengers side at the side of the dashboard. Also check the fuses that are located under the hood. The location for fuses are in your car manual.

Woah. This is a new one, but it sounds like your rack is binding up and causing this friction. It could be a pump problem, so check the power steering pump belt tension and fluid level. Short of that, you need to get your front end looked at. I'm not being "extra careful" here when I say this - you should get it towed to the service center and not drive it. This thing could get you hurt. . Good luck.
on the same switch that tilts the seat, if you slide the switch forward or backwards the seat will move in that direction.
