Our NIssan Versa key fobs will not work. We have changed the batteries and they still won't work. They are not the intelligent type keys, just a regular fob. Please help!

This indicator appears when the Intelligent Key needs to be inserted into the Intelligent Key port.(For example, the Intelligent Key battery is dis-charged.)If this indicator appears, insert the Intelligent Key into the Intelligent Keys port in the correct direction. The battery in your intelligent key needs to be replaced.

Generally if both intelligent keys quit at the same time, it's not the intelligent key that is the problem. Since it starts with the manual key, the problem is with the car. Take it in for a checkup.
I assume you've done the basics (replacing the batteries in your intelligent key, etc). If that doesn't do it, take it in.
The port doesn't charge it, it is only there for if your battery dies and then you can still start the car, you need to replace the battery in the fobs if they are low.
There is a special procedure involved in keying your fob to your car once the battery has been changed. You must lock and open the door with your key. Turn the ignition to "on"(not start) then push the fob's open and close button, then shut off ignition. This procedure is done everything the key battery is changed. I also have a 2008 Nissan Rogue, and my intelligent keys quit working too. However, I do not believe it's the batteries, as one of my keys has never been used. I checked the fuses, but they are fine.
Hi, Some key fobs are coded and if this is so you will need to take it to your Nissan dealer with all details of the vehicle i.e. Log book/title and vin number proof of ownership.
