Hi, it's hard to turn the wheel because the power steering only works when the engine is running.
your non start issue could be several things? So start by checking the basics like petrol, plugs, fuses etc....
also did the car stop when you were driving or after over night?.
Is your car petrol,diesel?
First you need to find out if there is power and ground at the switch if both won't work,if no power there then look for a blown fuse in PDC under hood. Check them all as it may be on a different circuit, also check wire harness from the door into A post going to under dash, over time with door opening and closing that harness has a tendency to break wires that may be the power to the switch or output to vent motors (inside the boot)
WELL I AM LOOKING AT AUTOMATIC SHUT RELAY BAD OR THE BAD COIL POWER TRANSISTOR.YOU WILL NEED A SCANNER TO TELL YOU IF YOUR CMP SENSOR OR CKP SENSOR IS WORKING.
I ran into this problem this past winter and after going threw everything I finally solved this problem by taking off the fast idle servo and cleaning behind it with solvant If it gunks up in their it cannot function properly causing it to stall when idiling or coming to a stop. Try this simple solution it will more than likely work for you and keep it from stalling.
If you look up from under you should see some push clips. if your removing entire bumper with rebar & all, it's probably about 4 nuts holding it to bumper shocks, but be sure to look near ends at fenders for push clips , and or screws, and across mid section. watch it, it's pretty heavy with the rebar attached so make sure you have everything ready & remove nuts last, with some help to hold it up.
