I just noticed I have a TRMS light on in my 2011 Hyundai Elantra. I am getting ready to travel distance out of state. What does this light mean and is it a quick fix at a local mechanic?

Are you sure it's not tpms this is the tire pressure monitoring system check the tire pressure if good it's just a sensor for tire pressure and should reset if pressure was low and you added air

a small rubber vacuum pipe connecting to the injector system / inlet manifold. Sometimes this pipe perishes and allows air to enter thus decreasing the vacuum. The engine then cuts out. It's simple to check and replace the tubing where necessary. You may also notice the engine cutting out when traveling at speed and one suddenly slows down.
Did you recently clear the trouble codes or disconnect the battery? Once all codes are cleared, the computer will not display systems 'ready' until they go through an evaluation cycle. Some of the systems require a certain number of drive cycles before they will display 'ready'. A drive cycle is usually starting the engine from a cold start (based on coolant temperature) and driving until certain conditions are met. I don't know what the requirements are for your car, but my 2003 pickup truck requires more than 10 drive cycles before it will make the O2 sensors and evaporative emissions 'ready'. Most states only require that a certain number of systems are showing 'ready' to pass emissions certification.

2011 Hyundai Sonatas have been reported on the net by a few to have a random problem ... i have 2013 Hyundai sonata and the engine won't start when i use the key and turn on .... Had similar problem with my 2012 Elantra.

I have the same problem. Usually I notice that somehow my trunk is open. Even if it is slightly open the light in there is on and the battery drains. I have also had it happen when there hasn't been anything on or open. I have to take it to the dealer at some point but for now I am replacing the battery because it is competely drained and I can't even get a jump to charge it. :(
Hi, it all depends on where he ordered the timing belt from. The distance of the place will definitely determine how long it will take for the arrival of the timing belt. You should give him a week maximum for the arrival of the item and if he fails to deliver and fix it, then you can start suspecting him..
