I've not delt with an SSS before, but I'd first head to that rear quarter and take a look for some pinched wires if the battery hasn't had a problem before. But do a load test on the battery just to be sure. The SSS will throw codes, but generally you and I don't have the ability to either read them or do anything with them, A good Caddy shop would be able to track it down, but on other sites I'm told the light comes on for various reasons, but go around replacing both struts and other nonsense Caddy built into their vehicles. But like any good troubleshooter, go for the simple things first, which leads me back to checking the load test and looking for pinched, chaffed, dirty connections or jarred wires. Some of the other guys may have further experience on SSS and they may be able to help further, but the basics are the basics and need to be looked at first before spending a bucket load of money on this one. Are you sure there is enough freon in the AC system? If the freon drops below a certain level, the AC compressor will not kick on. Purchasing a can of freon that comes with a pressure guage is around 15 dollars. That will at least let you know if there is enough freon in the system. Also, some compressors have a fuse installed on the outside of the unit. See if you can locate one and check for continuity if you do. Hope this helps.

This problem only exists on cars with the electronic suspension option. Service SSS light comes on when the valving motor in the strut fails to move as commanded. This is usually signs of a failing strut. If you clear the code, it may function OK for a time but its days are probably numbered. New replacements are only available through GM and may run in excess of $500 each. Cadillac service bulletin # 00-03-11-001A has details of replacing these with standard struts and disabling the SSS computer.

The SSS stands for Speed Sensative Steering or Speed Sensitive Suspension as far as fixing the system it's likely an air leak or a bad sensor. basically the cost of trouble shooting it and whatever the parts and labour are to fix it... have to know first what it is tho to give you a competent estimate.

SRS would be the air bags "secondary restraint system.

hello as you no rs0030 is sss solenoid short to voltage / open circuit so check the sss solenoid connector for debris or corrosion cean and reconectit as aways diconnect neg side of battery before you do any thing with wiring thx
