Gages wont cause your truck to jerk back and forth. You have a mechanical problem.

What is the yellow triangle warning light on dodge dakota

Just a systems check. If it stays on after the truck starts, take it to the dealer or a repair shop.

You know, you could always read the owner\'s manual.

I have a 96 dodge Dakota 2.4 L , 4 cylinder. I installed 3 oil sensor switches, thinking they could be bad. I have no reading on oil gage in cab. I grounded lead to sensor, gage working. On the other

Try using a cheap mechanical oil gauge to make sure you do have oil pressure. If you do, something is preventing the senders from making ground to the engine. Are you using tape or sealer on sender threads? DON"T. the threads are the ground for the sender.

My warning chime goes off at random.

Check all your seat belt attachments! This seem to be a leading oroblem with all vehicles that has a few miles on them. All it takes is wasting coffie or soda's into one of those locking mechanisms and it thinks the seat belt is not locked. All these vehicles have seat sensors too! If you sat anything more than 3 to 5 lbs on the seat, it thinks someone is sitting on the seat and the chime will continually go off and drive you nuts. Hope this helps you with your problem Sir

Seat belt warning light

Usually a sensor in the seat that recognizes a body in it. Check under the seat for any plug that may have disconnected. maybe someone kicked it with their foot.

1) 1 (single wire) goes to the illumination light of the transfer case position plastic lense panel (underside) 2) 1 (single wire) goes to the seat belt harness for the seat belt warning light 3) 1 (multi-wire) goes to air bag sensor located directly under the seat.
