is your tool 2004 or newer, or CAN-bus certified.?
there are 2 fuses that can blow, and killl pin 16 on the OBD2 connector this is a fact. and disables all scan tools. if true.
we use a volt meter on pin 16 first. omg, its 0v.
in 1min. work. not guessing for going mad.
then make sure your tool (unstated brand or model by you)
if not in the USA< the answers will be different.
if 12vdc is on pin 16 then then the wrong scan tool is being used.
99.9% of the time.

Hello just a guess here but by any chance is the lighter still working check for a blown fuse i have had this problem in the past and have traced it back to a fuse to the lighter or something crazy like that and as soon as i fixed this then i got communication back to the PCM. They run the power for the OBD connector off of other thing in the car

    no country stated.!!! why?
    H25 engine we get that,...
    but our H25 is not same as H25 in other countries. (a fact,1)
    first learn this, OBD2 is USA invention.fact 2

    and IF you are here, using a scan tool from 1996
    in a 2004 car.that will fail, due to the new CAN BUS interface (signal levels and new pins) (get a new tool now)

    out side usa, they run OBD1 until 2006
    so our tools dont work on those cars
    and the reverse of that is true too.

    see why not post country and be like the 6th person to ever do that... a WIN/WIN
    now only that,

    if in usa, the VERONA
    needs a scan tool that is certified
    CAN-BUS supported.
    if not failure is the day.
    btw , our cars now are USA federal law mandated to Canbus...
    on or about 2004 it began and full compliance in 2008
    pin 6 and 14 wired.

    no scan too stated, no year tool made
    the 1996 tools made then, never work on
    any car with CAN-BUS oBD2.
    not one does.
    the first cars were CAN-bus 2004 and 2008 its by law now. EPA laws.
    Many makers of cars upgraded early , there call. there decision.

    there are 5 (Tx/RX) signalling pin levels.
    there are many tools made that did not do all 5. vast tools like that.(all old)
    what tool is yours?

2010 Suzuki Kizashi SE 2.4. I recently replaced the motor and ECM. It will crank but won't start, I have 3 codes P062f, P0703, and U0100.

The ECM and the engine need to be from the same vehicle and then the ECM needs programming with your VIN Number and your mileage.

Need help testing fuel pump

not reason why stated???????? fun, ?
the fuel pressure is over 60 psi, try not to get a bath in fuel.
right? there is no reason to this. (unless tank contam)
you can hot wire a pump with rear connectors pulled first
then measure rail pressures., (over 6 test there)

rule 1 , pump is fuel lubricated
rule 2 pump is fuel cooled.
do not violate 1 or 2, or you will burn it up., i promise!
the FSM is only 4 bucks. posted over 100 times here now.

Where is a bcm located on a 03cad.cad.deville?

You can not reset a BCM ! If there is a problem with one of the systems associated with the BCM . It has a DTC stored in memory ! Besides your vehicle does not have a BCM ! It has three modules !
The body control system consists of the following 3 modules:

On vehicles that have several control modules connected by serial data circuits, one module is the power mode master (PMM). On this vehicle the PMM is the DIM. The PMM receives 4 signals from the ignition switch.

You have no idea what your getting yourself into when messing with these thing's ! You mess with the wrong thing an your vehicle will never work again , not for you anyway ! These modules all communicate together on a class 2 serial data network ,
The data link connector (DLC) allows a scan tool to communicate with the class 2 serial data line. The serial data line is the means by which the microprocessor-controlled modules in the vehicle communicate with each other. Once the scan tool is connected to the class 2 serial data line through the DLC, the scan tool can be used to monitor each module for diagnostic purposes and to check for diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). Class 2 serial data is transmitted on a single wire at an average of 10.4 kbps. This value is an average; class 2 uses a variable pulse width modulation to carry data and depending on the message it may operate faster or slower. The bus will float at a nominal 7 volts during normal operation. Each module can pull this lower during the transmission. The bus is not at battery positive voltage or ground potential during normal operation. When the ignition switch is in RUN, each module communicating on the class 2 serial data line sends a state of health (SOH) message every 2 seconds to ensure that the module is operating properly. When a module stops communicating on the class 2 serial data line, for example, if the module loses power or ground, the SOH message it normally sends on the data line every 2 seconds disappears. Other modules on the class 2 serial data line, which expect to receive that SOH message, detect its absence; those modules in turn set an internal DTC associated with the loss of SOH of the non-communicating module. The DTC is unique to the module which is not communicating; for example, when the inflatable restraint sensing and diagnostic module (SDM) SOH message disappears, several modules set DTC U1088. Note that a loss of serial data DTC does not normally represent a failure of the module that set it.
On some vehicles, if the powertrain control module (PCM) is unable to communicate with the vehicle theft deterrent (VTD) system after the vehicle has started, the PCM will consider the VTD system to be malfunctioning. The PCM will enter a fail enable state and will command the security indicator to illuminate. When the PCM is in a fail enable state, the vehicle will NOT stall or stop running. If the PCM is in a fail enable state when the ignition is switched OFF, the PCM will remain fail enable until communications with the VTD system has been restored. When the PCM is in a fail enable state, the VTD system is NOT active and the vehicle will start. This feature is NOT available on all GM vehicle lines.

You better read up on class 2 serial data communication networks . Does supply ACC voltage to anything . Your vehicle has many different control modules , PCM / ECM , air bag , ABS , BCM instrument cluster ,an the radio an some others . If you mess with or ground this wire your vehicle will not start or do anything .

What does code 1670 mean on 04 suzuki verona

p1670 is a communications error between abs module and ecm- ecm does a communications check in first 5 seconds of cycling key from off to on/start. Can be affected by other modules on network, possible causes include but are not limited to bad abs module, wiring, connectors, terminals in connector, chafing of wiring,possible software issue. Recommend clearing codes and waiting for it to become a hard code( sets code EVERY time key is cycled on ) in order to pinpoint- very elusive problem unless setting a hard code
