SOURCE: 1995 cutlass supreme transmission

It physically will fit and bolt up,but there are many different ratio, and drive and driven sprocket tooth counts, different final drive ratios, all monitored by the computer with electronic speed sensors. If the trans from the 95 has a different ratio than the 93,the computer will set gear ratio error codes, and possibly put the trans in a failsafe mode, stuck in 2nd or 3rd gear.On the transmission case, down by where the passenger side axle would go in,is a thin metallic tag, maybe 2"x 3",and it has bar codes, and also a series of numbers and letters. The numbers and letters, large cap,are the final drive gear ratio code. They should match on the two transmissions in question.

SOURCE: how do I remove rear brake pads on 94 olds cutlass

Please don't forget to rate! This helps us help you!

1993–96 Vehicles

  1. Remove about 2⁄3 of the brake fluid from the reservoir with a clean syringe or baster type utensil.
  2. Raise and safely support the vehicle.
  3. Matchmark the relationship of the wheel to the axle flange. Remove the wheel and tire assembly.
  4. Reinstall two lug nuts to retain the rotor.
  5. Unfasten the bolt and washer attaching the cable support bracket to the caliper body assembly. It is not necessary to disconnect the parking brake cable from the caliper parking brake lever or disconnect the brake hose unless the caliper is to be completely removed from the vehicle. Freeing the cable support bracket allows enough flexibility in the cable to pivot the caliper up and down and remove the shoe and lining.
  6. Remove the sleeve bolt.
  7. Pivot the caliper body assembly up. Do not completely remove the caliper assembly body.
  8. Remove the outboard and inboard shoe and linings (pads) from the caliper support.
  9. Remove the two pad clips from the caliper support. To install:
  10. Bottom the piston assembly into the caliper bore. Use a suitable spanner-type tool in the piston slot to turn the piston assembly and thread it into the caliper body assembly.
  11. After bottoming the piston, lift the inner edge of the boot next to the piston assembly and press out any trapped air. The boot must lie flat. Make sure the slots in the end of the piston are positioned correctly before pivoting the caliper body assembly down over the shoe and lining in the caliper support. Use a suitable spanner-type tool in the piston slots to turn the piston as necessary. NOTE: Whenever installing new pads, install new pad clips. These should be provided in the disc pad kit.
  12. Install the two pad clips in the caliper support.
  13. Install the outboard and inboard shoe and lining in the caliper support. The wear sensor is on the outboard pad. The sensor is positioned downward at the leading edge of the rotor during forward wheel rotation. Hold the metal shoe edge against the spring end of the clips in the caliper support. Push the shoe in toward the hub, bending the spring ends slightly, and engage the shoe notches with the support abutments.
  14. Pivot the caliper body assembly down over the shoe and lining assembly. Be careful not to damage the piston boot on the inboard. Compress the sleeve boot by hand as the caliper body moves into position to prevent boot damage.
  15. After the caliper body is in position, recheck the installation of the pad clips. If necessary, use a small prytool to re-seat or center the pad clips on the support abutments.
  16. Install the sleeve bolt and tighten to 20 ft. lbs. (27 Nm).
  17. Install the cable support bracket (with the cable attached) with the bolt and washer. Tighten the bolt to 32 ft. lbs. (43 Nm).
  18. Remove the two lug nuts retaining the rotor.
  19. Install the wheel and tire assembly, aligning the marks made during removal.
  20. Carefully lower the vehicle, then firmly depress the brake pedal 3 times to seat the pads against the rotors.

SOURCE: 92 olds cutlass supreme turn signal broken

Start by checking the fuses that's simple
than relay than bulbs
last you may have to remove the steering wheel and than replace the entire signal assembly those are pretty much all your options so start with 1 and work your way down the list

SOURCE: I need a diagram for a 94 oldsmobile cutlass

There is a dot on each of the gears one on the large cam gear and one on the small crank gear. The crank gear dot on the teeth of the gear should point to the 12oclock postion straight up then the one on the cam gear point sin the 6 O clock position so the dots meet each other then you put the chain on the cam gear then around the crank gear then bolt on the cam gear the dots should still be lined up with each other.this puts the engine in the #4 firing postion

CAUTION Always make sure that the ignition is OFF when disconnecting or connecting the battery cables. Failure to do so may cause damage to the computer control module or other electronic components.

  1. Make sure the ignition is OFF . Remove the air cleaner assembly if necessary, and disconnect the negative battery cable, then the positive cable.
  2. Unfasten the retaining bolts, then remove the cross brace.
  3. If equipped with Anti-Lock Brakes (ABS), remove the relay center and bracket, then position aside.
  4. If necessary, detach the electrical connector and hose from the windshield washer pump, then unfasten the reservoir retaining nut and remove the reservoir.
  5. Remove the air cleaner bracket upper attachment bolt.
  6. Unfasten the battery heat shield, hold-down bolt, and retainer.
  7. Remove the battery from the battery tray.
To install:
  1. Place the heat shield on the battery, then position the battery in the vehicle.
  2. Install the retainer, air cleaner bracket and hold-down bolt. Tighten the hold-down bolt to 13 ft. lbs. (18 Nm).
  3. Install the air cleaner bracket upper attachment bolt. Tighten the bolt to 35 inch lbs. (4 Nm).
  4. Position the windshield washer reservoir and secure with the retainers. Attach the hose and electrical connector to the windshield washer pump.
  5. If equipped with ABS, install the relay center bracket and relay center.
  6. Position the cross brace, then secure with the retaining bolts. Tighten the front bolt to 18 ft. lbs. (25 Nm) and the rear bolt to 35 ft. lbs. (47 Nm).
  7. Connect the positive battery cable, then the negative battery cable. Tighten the cable bolts to 11 ft. lbs. (15 Nm).
  8. If removed, install the air cleaner assembly.

My 1985 Olds Cutlass won't start and a get a strong odour of gasoline.

First check for fuel leaks. Be safe. Next I would pull the spark plugs and smell them for gas. If you smell gas on them, they are fouled out. Start with replacing them. Also check for spark. These are the two basics to check first. Spark and fuel. You have fuel because you can smell it.
