My 2006 1500 ram mega cab will shut off after starting and Wont run again till you unhook/hookup the battery cables will start and run we have replace the key tumbler and got keys reprogrammed help

It doesnt matter. They both hook up as a 12 volt system. The cranking amps is why you have two batteries. Deisels need more cranking amps for cold starts. On a hot engine all it takes is one battery

There Is Also A Junction Involved (ground) Where Engine And Body Grounds Come Together--LOOK AT THAT FIRST.
