New thermostat. Flushed system out. Coolant ok. Engine temp normal.
Blend door actuator may be bad,or a dual climate control valve if it has one. Don-ohio (:^)

The best thing a person can do is get at least a Haynes manual for their model of car if they plan on keeping it.
Yes,there may be a fuse that sends power to the solenoids or blend door.
Go online and a search on a Lincoln forum will help you out,I'm sure. don-ohio (:^)
Just looked on a Lincoln search and the culprit is probably a bad blend door actuator.They fail often in late 90s Lincoln TCs. don-ohio (:^)

Don, this old Disabled Navy Vet can't thank you enough. I have been researching on-line, computers are the one thing I can troubleshoot very well. One good thing, my neighbor is a very good automotive mechanic. I am just trying to narrow the problem down, the least expensive possable problem first. I even read someone's entry that said oven cleaner blown into the heater core for 15 minutes, then flushed out would work. Ha-ha!
Well, you already flushed the system,and if both heater hoses are hot,it's probably the blend door. Good to hear you have a nice neighbor to mechanic for you! That's great! Hope you get er fixed,Stephen! don-ohio (:^)
