I can't figure out how to remove the seat bottom on my 1999 E430 Mercedes Benz.
I know there are tabs on the left and right side of the seat, but I can't figure out what to do to release the seat bottom. Pictures, videos or a better description than what has been said online would be greatly appreciated.

Not really sure if other modles got the same location.
Battery located under the Right Back Passenger seat.
for the seadan ... you may have to remove the back seat by pressing the corner bottoms in both sides then left it up and drag it to front to got it free... you will see the battery under it.
for the wagon... open the back right door and release the bottom seat by pressing the lock handle at the side of the seat up.... seat bottom will be cimi free to be lifted to front and then you will have free access to the battery.
if you just need to recharch the low battery... you can find the charging plugs under the hood to the left side ( +) will be covered with black plastic box... open it and connect the possitive cable (red)... ( - ) will be few inches front of that to be conected with nigative cable (black)
Move seat as far back as possible. Seat rails have covers on them - slide them forward....the left one will only slide forward, cannot be removed. Between the two seat rails you will see two little battery cover mounting nuts. Use 6 mm T-handle hex key to remove the nuts. Move seat as far forward as possible and twist rear rail covers to left and right and then pull toward rear of car. Pull back/fold floor carpet under seat from front to back (carpet is perforated so you may have to really yank the first time). There are two more battery cover mounting nuts between rear seat rails. There is a battery cover with an air vent pull it slightly to right and then lift out. There is a vent hose attached to battery on left side -- pull it out. Unfasten & remove attachment nuts on left side (low). Remove the battery attachment once those nuts are off. Push battery to the left. Disconnect battery negative lead (right) (do not let it touch pos. lead on left). Remove cover from pos (red/left) terminal and disconnect lead.

THE HOOD IS MECHANICAL MEANING ITS JUST A WIRE PULLING A LATCH. HAVE SOMEONE PULL UP ON THE HOOD AS YOU PULL THE LEVER TO OPEN THE HOOD. IF THE BATTERY IS DEAD THEN GO TO THE REAR SEAT. ON BOTH SIDE RIGHT AND LEFT, JUST UNDERNEATH THE REAR SEATS ARE THESE LITTLE HOLES . FIT YOUR FINGERS IN THERE AND PRESS UP ON THE SEAT. DO THE SAME TO THE OTHER ISDE. THE BATTERY IS THERE UNDER ALL THAT STUFF. JUMP IT FROM THERE.
underneath you will find a plastic cover in front of the rear left wheel, it's held on with three nuts on small studs, these have a bad habit of breaking if there is any resistance, use plenty of loose juice and a wirebrush first, remove the cover and you'll find the fuel filter and pump
