Tke it back totthe shop and tell them to fix it and if they don't take them to small claims court.if they can't fix it you can take itto another sho pand thne go to small claims ourt and sue for the loss of the car being down plus replairs. Depending on which state it can be up to $5000.00
hi i have a 51 reg daewoo matiz and i have noticed a noise appearing for a few minutes when driving a around 30 to 40 mph then it stops then starts agin a few minutes later ,it sounds like its coming from some where behind the speedometer ,it sounds like a dry spinning noise and i did notice the speedo needle flickering but it orso made the noise when starting from cold
sit in the drivers seat close the door. with the key off hold the trip
odometer button in then while holding the button in turn the key on. if
done correctly this will put the MIC (mechanical instrument cluster)
into a self test. if the speedometer does not move like the rest of the
gauges during this test the MIC must be replaced. if the speedometer
does move it is likely your problem will be fixed, however, if the
speedometer does move but it does not start working properly then
further diagnostic will be needed.
SPEEDOMETER (SPEEDO DRIVE) IS USUALLY LOCATED IN GEARBOX NORMALLY SCREWED IN SMALL BOLT YOU WILL PROBABLY FIND IT AT REAR END OF GEARBOX AS FOR RPM DIAL THAT IS USUALLY WORKED THROUGH CRANKSHAFT SPEED SENSOR BEFORE YOU GOCHANGING SPEEDO DRIVE MAKE SURE ITS NOT A BLOWN FUSE
