There should be an adjustment point on this cable at either end. Adjust to make the cable shorter and this should solve your problem.

if it is still under warranty, take it back to them, tell them to fix it right this time, and yes you can reset only if you have a handheld device to plug into you car, still doesn't solve the problem though,"TAKE IT BACK"

Why is my 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe beeping?

Lots of reasons here.

You left keys in the ignition.
You are running out of fuel
Low battery in key fob.
One of your doors is open. Check them all, including the trunk, to make sure that your doors are properly latched.
Your fuel door isn't closed.
You (or one of your passengers) hasn't fastened a seatbelt.

Or any of the sensors that make those things happen. The only way to diagnose is an auto-electrician with a $5,000 scan tool computer. The reaches all the parts your diagnostic tool can't.

2007 santa fe blows hot on passenger side but cold on drivers side can you advise please

some cars have a separate control for driver and pass. temp setting. check that one isn't set to cold and one to hot. if ok it can be a stuck flap or bad module.

Hyundai error report P0441 when check engine light comes on. Is this something covered under warranty at dealer, or should I have an independent mechanic look at it? Also, door latch that opens the gas...

yes this is a warranty item as it relates to the emission purge system ( pressure test for gas tank ). but before you go make sure your gas cap is tight (3 clicks) sometimes after getting fuel a loose gas cap will trip the purge solenoid valve to think there is a leak.

How can I loosen the lever for the gas tank to open? I have tried spraying it with WD40 (both the lever and the switch in the gas cap) but it still seems hard to pull and it won't open the door to the gas...

I have a 2007 Hyudai Santa Fe and had the same problem this morning. I wasn't sure what to do and couldn't find any solutions mentioning this, so I thought I would.

My tank wasn't frozen or anything and the cable tension seemed fine. If you go to the trunk there should be an access panel on the left side wall behind the tank (has a picture of a fuel pump on it), open this up and you will see an emergency fuel tank pull cord which will open the tank. Once I opened mine, I found that the little cord that holds the gas cap on was jammed in the door hinge. I tested it a few times with the "normal" release on the driver side door and it works fine now.

Rear Hatch Won't Release

The hatch is probably "jammed".
Has the hatch opened by itself while you are driving? That is a symptom....
Using a second person/helper, press the "open" button while you pull hard to pop it open.
If it opens, then the lock mechanism needs adjusting and tightening. There are two bolts that hold the catch hook. Once you adjust the catch, be sure to "open" the latch before you close the hatch. (rhyme not on purpose)...

Hope this helps!
