Question about 1987 Mercedes-Benz Mercedes Benz 190 Class

MB 190E will start and stall within 2 seconds

I have a 1993 Mercedes Benz 190e 2.6L and as soon as it starts it will stop getting fuel. If you try to start it up again it will do nothing but turn over. If you let it sit for ten min it will start again for 2 sec. WIERD It runs and sounds perfect for those two seconds and stalls.

Sounds like a faulty fuel pump, or blocked fuel filter in the tank sender unit...

If it wont turn over try the neutral safety switch, if it wont start in neutral either the switch most likely needs to be replaced.

I may have been too vague on my question yesterday. See below.

take vin# to dealership parts department,you can get a new key that will fit ignition and all locks, try new key,if switch does not rotate, replace ignition assembly

Getting fuel, won' start

hello,ok your fuel pump is working,hoping fuel pressure is also good,how about your ignition system,try to start your engine,then remove your spare plug,determine the condition, have fuel in plug?if yes try to check your ignition side,first check your excees voltage protection,located in fuse box(with aluminuim housing with fuse on top) ,,ty

What transmission fluid can I use in my 1993 Mercedes Benz 190E

AF3

DEXRON®-III Automatic Transmission Fluid
BMW: Power steering use AF3; Models with combined power steering,
hydraulic brake booster, self-leveling suspension system use SLF
Mercedes-Benz: Use only manufacturer approved fluid

Look on the back of the bottle of fluid you are looking to buy, if it does not say is is approved by MB, don't use it.
