Suzuki swift m15a engine
Wow no year started, nor if VVT heat, wow.
seem 2000 to 2010 car, right,?
then suzuki ended sales here in 2013
swift ended here in 2001 USA.
no country stated, wow2. why make it so hard,?
posting country someown could point to a book there.... we cant.
no job stated, valve seals. what?
cam broke in half,or melted,???? (galled)
no story told,
same most all M engines.
same as all overhead cams in all FWD Suzuki.
remove all parts to get the cam cover off. see it there? plastic.
look there and in 5min see what needed, ?for sure!
then with cam cover off the belt (rubber band) cam drive is seen
or if chain that. this one is belt. M16a is chain,
the belt comes off after tension-er loose.
but put engine at TDC #1 firing first. do not forget that step
or the belt will be hard to time later.(or risk valve damage)
(a pro can do that, but do what the book says)
then valve covers.
now the cam is free to come out. (no CMP sensor in the way)
The VVT parts may need to come off now, looking works!
see those cam caps, do not ever over tighten them. or they strip out..
they are set to inch pounds not foot lbs.(DO NOT GUESS< seen many guess, or DDUUMMBBLLY set them to 100 ft/lbs.
wow. 4.
read the manual on this engine first.
get one from suzuki, ? be super smart, not butching the job.
we have no such car nor engine, here.
, yet another post, lacking back ground facts,
ok short answers
