Wow no year started, nor if VVT heat, wow.
seem 2000 to 2010 car, right,?
then suzuki ended sales here in 2013
swift ended here in 2001 USA.
no country stated, wow2. why make it so hard,?
posting country someown could point to a book there.... we cant.
no job stated, valve seals. what?
cam broke in half,or melted,???? (galled)
no story told,
same most all M engines.
same as all overhead cams in all FWD Suzuki.
remove all parts to get the cam cover off. see it there? plastic.
look there and in 5min see what needed, ?for sure!
then with cam cover off the belt (rubber band) cam drive is seen
or if chain that. this one is belt. M16a is chain,
the belt comes off after tension-er loose.
but put engine at TDC #1 firing first. do not forget that step
or the belt will be hard to time later.(or risk valve damage)
(a pro can do that, but do what the book says)
then valve covers.
now the cam is free to come out. (no CMP sensor in the way)
The VVT parts may need to come off now, looking works!

see those cam caps, do not ever over tighten them. or they strip out..
they are set to inch pounds not foot lbs.(DO NOT GUESS< seen many guess, or DDUUMMBBLLY set them to 100 ft/lbs.
wow. 4.
read the manual on this engine first.
get one from suzuki, ? be super smart, not butching the job.
we have no such car nor engine, here.
, yet another post, lacking back ground facts,

ok short answers

drop the cam drive first.

Suzuki swift 2007 rs415 engine. Drove into the Garage ok now unexpectantly will not start.

IS THIS A RUBBER CAM BELT DRIVE, IF YES IT IS BAD
rs415 ,NO SWIFTS IN USA 2007
M15A 4-cyl 1.5 (BUT IS CHAIN CAM)
SO IF COMPRESSION AND SPARK ARE GOOD?

THEN WE DO TEST FUEL, CAN-0-SPRAY TEST FUEL
IT MUST START OR ENGINE HAS PROBLEMS
FUEL DRIBBLE TESTS ARE 99% USELESS IF NOT DRY.
ONLY FUEL PRESSURE MATTERS, FOR SURE CRANKING
ANY DEAD ENGINE, AT PSI SPEC. PRESSURE.
M15A HAS VVT, IF STUCK VVT,STUCK ADVANCED,
THIS TO CAN FAIL.
ALL SPARK GOOD X4 , SO TEST FUEL IS NEXT
SPRAY IT TO INTAKE MAIN PIPE, FOR 3 SECONDS
AND ENGINE RUNS FOR 3 SECONDS AND STOPS
REPEAT AND BE SURE ENGINE SOUNDS GOOD.
IF YES FUEL PRESSURE IS DEAD WRONG

2013 Swift. How many camshaft position sensors does it have?

There is usually One for each cam shaft fitted. Most Suzuki engines are "twin cam". This means there will be 2 on your engine.

My 2006 Suzuki Swift just started running really rough all of a sudden.Starts ok and runs but rough & little less power.Could it b timing belt..it has done 150,000 kms

the belt should have been changed at 100.000 kms
At this point I would be looking at faulty injectors as a reason for the rough and less power
I would say that changing the belt now along with idler pulleys , hydraulic adjuster and cam and crank seals will save you big time as you are way overdue if it hasn't been done before

5-speed manual. Why no power from the ignition to the motor?

In a Suzuki of that age (assuming you have the OHC engine), the most likely culprit is a broken timing belt.

the part has an ASE/SAE.org (std) name, CKP.

here is the easy answer, if car has DIZZY , its in there.
if not its on the end of the cam shaft.
i presume you know Mr. Cam there in the head.?
on most engines, its at rear of cam, due to hard to put on front with cogs and gears and VVT parts there.

Does my Suzuki GLX 1.5 have a cambelt or chain

the swift?
what country you in UK,Malaysia?
what year.
the car came with a operators guide and in that guide
is a service schedule, and if there is a belt shown, its replaced near or at 100kmeter (60k miles)

i just google this car, and the engine is a (1 of 3 offered)
1.5 litre M15A VVT DOHC
the M15a can be goggled.
goggle shows, not one hit for a belt and many for chain.
you can look at the engine with eyes.
if the front cover on the engine is loose, it's belt.
finger pressing side of cover, you see it flex inward? belt.
if sealed 100%, its chain (oil sealed) no flex.
the wiki , for Suzuki engines page fails to cover this.
Suzuki has 54 engines. see them here.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Suzuki_engines
hope that help,
