.The control module provides the APP sensor a 5-volt reference circuit and a low reference circuit. The APP sensor then provides the control module a signal voltage proportional to pedal movement. The APP sensor 2 signal voltage is low at rest and increases as the pedal is depressed. When the control module detects that the APP sensor 2 signal or the APP sensor 5-volt reference voltage is outside the predetermined range, DTC P2125 sets.

The control module provides the APP sensors a 5-volt reference circuit and a low reference circuit. The APP sensors then provide the control module signal voltages proportional to pedal movement. The APP sensor 1 signal voltage is low at rest and increases as the pedal is depressed. The APP sensor 2 signal voltage is also low at rest and increases as the pedal is depressed. One APP sensor DTC will not cause the Reduced Engine Power message to be displayed. Two APP sensor DTCs for the same sensor also will not cause the Reduced Engine Power message to be displayed. However, if two or more DTCs are set involving more than one APP sensor, DTC P1125 will set.

When the "spits and sputters" happen are you in low rpm? Can you "by-pass" the sputtering by accelerating? Has your gas mileage suffered?

2004 Pontiac Grand Prix, check gas cap

Could possible be the Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor. It is located on top of the fuel pump. The fuel pump access is located in the trunk, under the carpet, behind the back seat. The AutoZone part number is SU 1390.

Change oil soon light. how to get it to shut off

Answer The "change oil" light on a 2001 Grand Prix is reset by pressing the gas pedal three times while the vehicle is in "accessory" mode:

1. Turn the car off.
2. Place the ignition key in the "on" position, without starting the car. That is, turn the key forward to the place right before it fires the engine.
3. Place your foot on the gas pedal and press it all the way down three times, waiting approximately one second between presses.

If done correctly, the "change oil" light will flash repeatedly, and will then reset.

Please note that it is rare to do this successfully on the first try; if it does not work, turn the car off and try the procedure again, varying the wait slightly between pedal presses at each attempt

Oil light

Hi lady d tilli,

Take off the fuse cover on the drivers side of the dash. there should be a bunch of fuses. in the middle is a red button that says "reset." turn your key to the on position, but DO NOT START. press the reset button until the change oil light blinks, then turn the key back off it should be fine after that. for the 05's theres somthing you have to do with the gas pedal. i think you do the same, by turning the key on but not starting...and then tapping the gas pedal 3 times.

Hope this helps a bit,
Good luck,
Eitan.
