My 2008 Accord EX Factory alarm goes off after opening doors with key manually, does not shut off when turning on car, continues for 1 minute and shuts off. Interior master door lock does not lock or unlock and door locks. Neither does passenger electric door unlock/lock switch. Remote battery has been replaced with new one, second remote as well, and one of them was even reprogrammed, yet remotes do not control or operate door locks or alarm. similar to bad remote or battery, except in addition interior door switched do not work, and alarm does not shut off even after starting car etc. Any suggestions on possible faults, troubleshooting techniques? Rob

sounds like the drivers side key switch has failed remove the interior door panel and there will be a switch attached to the back of the key lock cylinder or around there it should be two or three wires also check the door jamb wire harness where the door closes for any broken or damaged wires, use a vot meter and see if you get power or ground to the opposite side of the switch when you use the key to lock and unlock the door if nothing changes and there is power or ground! at this switch i would replace it, i don't think there is one but if the car has a passenger side key hole try to unlock the car from that side and see if you get the same problem -jeff

Well, my mom found a little button underneath the dash board on the drivers side. And I guess its kind of like the reset button. So she pushed it and started the car and it was fine!

I think you will have to start looking at the wires that go into the door by the hinge it could be a simple broken wire but you might have to remove the door panel to gain access to the locking solonoid by the door lock and check for power to it when operated, or the link that connects it having fallen off. (if fitted with a link, but normally are). No power to the solonoid is probably a broken wire or dirty connection, power but no movement is probably a stuck (seized up) or burnt out link/lock/solonoid.
