SOURCE: low tire pressure light won't go out

Idiots. The tire pressure lights go by wheel-spin sensors inside the wheel. If they differ then the tire pressure is low in subsequent tire. They are really not that accurate but helpful if you have a really low tire. There is NO sensor inside the tire.

SOURCE: 2005 toyota highlander, what is

Look on the end of the drivers door or door jam for a sticker that should list the pressures and tire size. I had air removed from my tires and installed nitrogen. It keeps the right level better and doesn't cause the sensors to go bad like air can. $5 a tire at most tire dealers.

SOURCE: TPM light stays on. All 4 tires have 26 lbs of

32 psi is the usual recommended pressure but you may have to fill the tires to 35 psi to make the TPM system reset. That's how most systems recognize that you have serviced the tires. Most TPM systems will indicate low tire pressure around 26-28 psi.

2008 Toyota Corolla- low tire pressure light came on today. I put 32 lbs of air in all the tires, but light will not go off. How do I fix it?

Look in your owners manual and it should tell you how to re-set the pressure tire sensors. If one will next re-set it's usually a bad sensor. if that is the case the tire will need to be removed to replace the sensor. Hope this helps.

My 2008 highlander 4wd tire pressure warning light just went on. Checked tire pressure on all 4 mounted tires found to have 25-26 psi. Inflated it to 30 psi (recommended) and look for the reset button...

turn the key to the on position (not running)
let at least 6 lbs of air out of each tire
put at least 32 lbs of air back in each tire
turn ignition to off
start vehicle and the light and sensors should be reset

2004 4 runner: Low tire pressure warning light is on, even though there is no tire pressure issue. Is this a sensor problem? or maybe the light is not working?

the senors tell you if the tire is low or even if the tire is not low if the tires are off a couple pounds from each other then the light will come on.

I put air into my two front tires last night. THen my "check right rear tire pressure message comes on when I start the vehicle and the pressure reads 53 lbs even though a manual rire gauge shows 32...

Two things, first try another tire guage, second the sensor is bad. these can cost up to $80.00.
Replace the sensor or ignore the light and keep check on the tire pressure.

Low tire pressure light won't stay off after proper reset.

Some newer Toyota vehicles have a sensor in the spare tire. Tires loose air over time naturally. I would check out the spare.
When did this TPS light start coming on?
Have you had new tires put on, or had a flat repair done before the light?

Low tire pressure light

Do you have sensors in the wheels? I dont think so, but If you do... I recommend setting the tire pressure at 35, if you set any lower, the light will come on when it gets cold and the pressure drops. Did you also set the spare?
You can reset the light by finding the button underneath the drivers dash, and with the key on, hold the button in until the light goes out. Then let go, and press again, hold until the light flashes 3 times, then it should stay out.
