MY 1995 4 RUNNER IS LEAKING FLUID LIKE CRAZY CANT TELL WHERE ITS COMING FROM DO YOU HAVE A IDEAR WHERE IT MIGHT BE LEAKING

look to see if the side of the pan is leaking put some cardboard under Neath the car sounds like the pan gasket is not tight enough might take it back to were you got it fixed wood be good idea

If it's overheating your not looking too good
for that motor to live on

You should be leaking something, which would mean you should also be low on a fluid after driving.
Are any of the fluid levels low now ?
You may have to clean off the engine to find the source.

check your fluids oil. power steering tranny fluid brake fluid and see which one is low

Is antifreeze coming from "weep" hole in bottom of case under shaft nose?
is it coming from the heater hose (small hose coming of side and going into firewall to heater core inside engine compartment?
is it coming from bad gasket between pump and front case?

get a paper towel and dry these areas then start engine. when it starts leaking that will tell you if you need to change the water pump (gasket leak or weep hole shaftseal leak) or if you just need to replace/repair heater hose.

check for fluid coming out of the bottom of your water pump...it may only be a small trickle...you may have a hose slightly leaking, your drain plug on your radiatior may be leaking.

where is it leaking from now / get it real clean and let it dry then crawl under it and look for drips / no drips then start engine and watch for leaks if you cant tell where it's coming from try with it clean , throw flour at it , any leaks will make the flour wet and you'll see where it's leaking from . the speedo ? the pan gasket ? the end seals ? the breather ? the lines ?
you want to save money , get under it and find the leak then do your fix

Without seeing first hand, it's difficult to nail down the problem for a solution... but based on your description I would make it a first and foremost priority to resolve the oil leak. As you know, oil reduces friction in an engine. It is vital for the life of it. No oil = friction, overheating, and worse, damage to the engine.
The clattering could be because you are losing oil enough that there isn't sufficient lubrication for the engine, especially when reving up the rpms.

well it depends on where it is leaking from if it is leaking from the pan in the seal area replace the seal and you might as well change the trani fluid and filter just to be on the safe side. If you cant find where it is leaking get a can of Gunk engine cleaner and clean the trani off nice and good the look for fresh leaks after driving a bit. If it looks like its a cracked case then you might as well just drop it and replace it. But the first thing is to pin point where it is leaking from. It could also be leaking from the trani fluid cooling lines.

your seal is probably gone.
