Hey DonAld, these are not hard to replace..( I do not know which engine you have..it makes a difference!! ).. take a PICTURE of where the current TPS os positioned and located... the radial (adjustment) location IS critical!!..
here is a link to Autozone, ...O'Reilly's, and Advance Auto should have one too..

bullshits, the CMP sensor is near the 4 injector, you have to take out all the electric conector near injector 4, take out the 2 screws that hold the fuel rail, sometimes you have to take out the 4 injector for the space, then take out the screws that hold the CMP, lub the o´ring of the new one and reverse this steps.

The range sensor is located just to the left of the battery on the automatic transaxle. It is connected with 2 bolts.

Have a couple T20 Torx Screws that hold it on

You heat them with a hair dryer to soften the

Crank sensor location 1998 ford contour 2.5 crank but no start

It's on the block but check by spraying fuel into the throttle body if it starts there's a fuel issue like the pump relay fuse if it doesn't start your idle air control valve or throttle position sensor maybe bad it's rare for the crank sensor but it's a 98 so 20 years old it could be but the other sensors mentioned are more common the crank sensor is a magnetic pulse but the sensors for idle and position have contacts inside that can become worn-out and break contact resulting in a no start condition

Replacing throttle position sensor location ford contour 2.0

You only replace parts that you know how they work &
how to test them

If you do no testing to find a failed part, your replacing a
perfectly good one

OBD Codes have nothing to do with parts replacement

Google your vehicle & look at a picture of the sensor

All tps sensors are on the throttle body

I have a 1998 ford contour 2.0 liter automatic transmission vehicle with 150,000 miles. It just recently began having trouble accelerating and shifting. If you hit the gas it slowly accelerates and...

TPS throttle position sensor might need adjustment or the catlic converter in the exhaust needs replacing as its not leting the exhaust out freely.

When im driving my 2000 ford contour 2.5 se after drining 15 minutes about on 55 and 65 mph the car starts jerking and rpm goes up and down and when i drive slow and stop the car rpm goes back to normal.

You might have a bad throttle position sensor that's going bad.You didn't say if you had a check engine light that's on or not.If there is then I would recommend that you have your local auto parts store retrieve the codes and and that will give you a better idea as to what the problem could be.Without actually being able to completely inspect all the necessary systems I would only be making a guess according the information that you provided to me.It sounds like a bad throttle position sensor

2000 FORD CONTOUR AND WHEN I START IT AND PRESS ON GAS IT BACK FIRES AND TURNS OFF

Is the service engine soon light on? I would suspect, based on your description, the TPS sensor may be open or the temperature sensor may have failed.
When you open the throttle the TPS sends the accelerator pedal information to the engine controller so the engine controller can add fuel and allow you to accelerate. If the TPS does not send the correct throttle position to the engine controller, no fuel is added and the engine stalls.
If the coolant sensor has failed, your fuel mixture will not be correct and engine can stall when accelerating.
If the service engine soon light is on, your mechanic will be able to determine which sensor has failed.
Hope this helps, good luck.
