Where is the heater blower resister located on a 2004 bonneville gxp

  • Catherine Verive - Faccin

Tested the blower it was fine , just replaced in October, checked all fuses, the one under the seat was blown. Replaced it and it immediately blew again, key wasn't even ignition. Friendly mechanic told us it was the resistor/module.. yes it's auto air..

Why ? Does the blower work on high ? but no other speeds ! If it doesn't come on at any speed it's not the resistor . Does the vehicle have automatic climate control or manual ? Automatic doesn't have resistor , has a blower motor control processor . HVAC Blower Motor Circuit You need to test , not guess !

2004 Subaru Imrpeza Outback Sport - Where is the heater blower/motor located in this car?

Hey Tbird, here's a link to the blower motor, right by the blower motor is the blower motor resistor, you might want to check this first,if they go out then blower motor won't work, you can straight wire blower to see if works,if it doesn't then try resister, here's what it looks like.

Need to replace heater motor

Pretty typical for our generation of Bonneville (mine's a 2005 GXP). There are at least two different fans for our generation of Bonneville.
Remove the panel under the passenger side dash; I recall two small screws.
There may be a couple wires to unplug from this panel.
The blower motor is located right above the passenger toes.
Unplug the three wire plug.
Remove a small rubber hose. It has one right angle bend. It's about the size and length of a big thumb.
Remove 3 small screws on the fan, and the fan comes out.
Here's my new one: zeevert_33.jpg The Hole under the passenger dash. Insert blower here: zeevert_34.jpg

Good Luck...

Blower stopped working on my 2003 bonneville could it be a fuse and if so where is the fuse box

It could be a fuse. Fuses under the back seat.
Chances are that it's the blower itself. Pretty typical for our generation of Bonneville. I have a 2005 GXP and replaced the blower at about 75,000 miles. I can't remember the car before that I had to replace a blower... maybe 20 years ago?

Anyway, the blower is under the passenger dash.

I have a 05 bonny gxp and am wondering where my blower motor is located at?

I have a 2005 Bonny GXP and have replaced the blower motor.
It is located under the dash, passenger side, just above the passenger toes.
It's easy to replace, and the cost of the blower has come down a lot!
I did a write-up with pictures at: http://www.gmforum.com/showthread.php?t=277509
You may have to register (for free).

Basically, remove the kick panel under the dash. Unplug the blower. Remove the vent hose. remove the three screws holding the fan, and it will drop out.zeevert.jpgzeevert_0.jpg

How to replace the battery on a 2004 Pontiac Bonneville?

I have a 2005 Bonneville GXP. I would expect yours to be the same as mine.
My battery is located under the rear seat.
Pull the fron of the seat straight up. There are two clips holding it.
Underneath you'll see the battery and a fuse block.
The cable and holddown clamp is pretty obvious.
Make sure you get the right size battery.
Also loosen the ground strap and inspect for corrosion and retighten.zeevert_1.jpgzeevert_2.jpg
