So I was so concerned about the tail lights I didn't even check front parking lights. So yes both tailights and front parking lights dont come on till car warms up. All other lights work fine.

SOURCE: 1999 jeep grand cherokee - brake lights and turn

The tail lights and the brake/turn lights use the same bulb but, there is 2 filamants in the bulb. One for tail lights and one for brake/turn lights. So just because the brake lights and turn signals work doesn't mean the bulbs are good. If bulbs are good you can check to see if there is power getting to the tail light assy's by unplugging the connector at the assy and using a test light probe the connector (harness side) with the headlights on. If you are getting power to the assy the test light will light. To make sure, turn off the headlights and test light will go off. Hope this is helpful. Good luck.

SOURCE: Park/Tail lights not working. Brake/signals are

Before going ahead and spending money on a new module, test it first. The module is located under the steering column. You'll find a Brown wire on one of the connectors (i just looked at a wire diagram). Do no disconnect anything. Back probe the brown wire, which is the power feed to your park lights. With the lights off, there should be 0 volts on you voltmeter. Turn the park lamps on, There should be 12V. If there is not 12V, disconnect the connector and try to check voltage at the pin that feeds to the brown wire, if still not 12V, replace the module. If you do get 12V, then module is ok, find where the 12v is being dropped before making it to the lamps.

I have no rear lights on drivers side changed bulbs, checked all fuses and still not working can you help?julie

Hi Julie let's see what we can do here go back to the rear socket you have front parking lights yes/no if yes the the problem is either corrosion inside the socket or a wire is broken or the headlight or brake light switch so first let's do this turn on headlights see if all lights are on (parking tail headlights next change to just parking lights check again next use 4 way flashers and next use brake pedal there are 2 filaments in each bulb and you need to record when it's not working so EX.HEADLIGHTS PARKING LIGHTS ARE IN 1 FILAMENT ////BRAKE LIGHTS TURN SIGNALS AND 4 WAYS THE OTHER ONE IF AFTER CHECKING THERE IS STILL NOTHING ON THE LEFT SIDE AT ALL NOW IT'S A WIRE OR THE SOCKET IF THERE'S ALSO NO PARKING LIGHT IN THE FRONT IT'S THE SWITCH FOR THE HEADLIGHTS GET A GUY TO CHECK THE WIRE CONTINUITY OF THE TAIL LIGHT FROM THE HEADLIGHT SWITCH AND THE POWER COMING OUT FOR THE LEFT SIDE TAILIGHT AND CHECK THE BULB SOCKET FOR THE SAME CONTINUITY TO GROUND AND FOR 12 VOLTS YOU DIDN'T LIST WHAT VEHICLE THIS IS BUT THE PROCESS IS THE SAME A CORRODED LIGHT SOCKET MAY BE YOUR PROBLEM HERE WHEN YOU CHANGED THE BULB WAS IT BLACK AND CLOUDY LOOKING OR JUST CLOUDY WHITISH LOOKING WATER COULD BE GETTING INTO THE TAILIGHT CAUSING A SHORTING CONDITION AND COULD HAVE BURNED OUT THE SOCKET

Tail lights don't work and instrument panel won't light up on 2007 corolla

you blew a fuse. check fuses in both fuse boxes..
ahh yes, the IP cluster lamps are dad, but not the idiot warning lights
only the parking lights in the cluster are dead. right.?
and the park-tail, running lights and dash dim lights are all the same.
my guess three is a short on the TAIL fuse, the TAIL fuse blew
and took out: park-tail, running lights and dash dim lights are all the same.
it blew. most are marked tail even thought it runs side lamps and front parking lamps... TAIL is wrong, they are parking. lamps it truth.

Tail lights dont work but the all the other lights do

usa comments, other countries diffr. and for sure canada diffr.
the tail lights are usually , park and are the largest number of lights on the car, even the dash dim lights are park as are the front park lights
so they all out.?

these lights work , keys in pocket.
via a 120amp fuse , to the tailight relay, the combo set to park
energizes said relay and sends 12v to many things
via fuse 48 and 49 and runs cab dim and vanity lamps.
my online page has rear missing.
so get the operators guide, in glove box, read fuse page
see tail and park, fuse, 1 will be blown.

Head lights and park lights work in front but not on rear and tag light dont work on 96 sierra can you help

Check your Tailight fuse to see if it's blown, if so then start checking for a bad bulb(shorted element) in tailight circuit boards . and also don't forget to check grounds as well, there should be one at rear frame by left (drivers Side) tailight connection/trailer harness connection. hope this helps. do your Brake lights Work ?

No rear running lights. Turn and brake lights work. what do I do

The tail lights are also called parking lights.
There is a 10amp fuse for each rear parking lamp. The fuses are in the rear fuse box. Your owner's manual will tell you where that fuse box is located.
The fuses get power from a park lamp relay.

95 Jeep Cherokee Sport i have no dash lights no tail lights no parking lights when i push on the brakes the dash lights come on

It sounds like you have a bulb shorted out. I would check all the tailight bulbs. Start by removing them from the sockets. and then retest you brakes to see if they turn on the dash lights. If they dont then i would replace the bulbs and retest.

1987 Jeep Wagoneer Tail Lights out, Brake lights work.

hello, sounds like something is unpluged, dash lights have small bulbs in the basils, they do not normally blow, do you have the wright tail light bulbs in , they are not all the same, i would check them first, if you had to , you could run a jumper wire from your parking light in front to the rear tailights, just the running light only, there is two or three wires that run to tailights, you might could try that, friend of mine has done that,

92 lexus ls 400. Tail lights will not turn on. Brake and parking lights turn on. Fuse is good, verified.

check power to your rear tailight bulbs positive to see if they even get power with the headlight switch on. if your headlights come on then it's probably not a switch issue. Just check and make sure that you have power and ground to your tailights. It sounds most likely like an electrical problem. The best way to find the problem is to get an electrical wiring diagram and go through the system. But definately first check power and ground at the tailight bulbs to start.
