Where is the Canister Purge Valve located on 2004 Pontiac Vibe?

1. Disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge valve electrical connector.
2. Disconnect the EVAP canister purge pipe from the EVAP canister purge valve.
3. Disconnect the vacuum supply hose from the EVAP canister purge valve.
4. Remove the EVAP canister purge valve bolt.
5. Remove the EVAP canister purge valve from the intake manifold.

yes you should see a small round canister with an electrical plug and a vacuum line on each side of it like a tee fitting follow the vacuum line to the big black charcoal canister box or go in the reverse from the charcoal canister backwards and you should find it the charcoal canister should be on the inside of the fender and you will find the purge valve LATER MAN!

I am not sure why you are dropping gas tank. Canister purge valve should be located near intake manifold under hood of car. hope this helps

what is the code. p0456 p0457, you need more info and better mechanic. could be a loose or broken hose, a bad gas cap. or what tech meas the most when the read a vacuum leak, in fact the vehicle has a bad purge valve, in other words, no vacuum. get back to me with a code before you pay a penny.

the purge valve is located on the drivers side of engine, right next to the egr valve.

the purge valve may very well be the problem. however, the control circuits, electrical or vacuum, may also be at fault. testing the component is recommended before replacement. location is normally near the charcoal canister at the front of the car on the left or right side. some vehicles have the canister near the fuel tank. you can locate the component by purchasing a repair manual for $15-$20 at a parts store or a used manual online which will be cheaper but you'll have to wait. autozone.com has repair guides which you can access for free by registering and entering your vehicle. they might list the location. you'll have to do some navigating, but it could be worth it to try. here is some info on the subject.
