Remove coolant and hoses to the heater core. Remove the screws in the bottom plate to get to the heater core. Remove the clip that's on top that holds core in place. Lower the heater core and pull out through the firewall. To install new heater core, use same procedures, except just the exact opposite, such as install by raising heater core up through the firewall, etc....

92 chevy 1500 silverado Changed thermostat, heater core, core hose not hot. No heat

It sounds like your heater core is stopped up. try flushing it out, you can use a water hose. and if you cant get it to clean out then you will need to change the heater core.

I have a heater core blowing steam on the wind sheild. On my 2001 Dodge Pickup 1500 4x4 with a 360.How do i go about changing it.

first you have to remove the complete dash . recover the refrigerent for the a/c. I would advise replacing the heater core AND the evaporator at the same time. Dodge trucks are very common for both and you dont want to do the core and then a few months later the same job over again.

Chevy ex-cab pickup K1500 series 92

According to what I've read, a code 12 on your vehicle is the "all clear" code. I haven't found any information to indicate otherwise. What was said is that if you had a pair of fail codes, for example - let's use 15 and 34 for argument's sake - when you scanned the computer, you'd see 15, 34, 12, and then they'd repeat. The 12 was an indicator at that point that you had seen all the codes that were stored, and that they would now begin to repeat. If you have no codes stored, you'd see 12 and that's it.
