PO301 & PO 303 are cylinder misfire in the cyclinders indicated by the codes last number #1 & #3
Spark Plugs get replaced every 3 years or so & have nothing to do with resolving any misfire issues, unless they were in the motor for 80,000 miles & worn out
Spark Plug wire easily last 12 to 15 years or more & usually only fail because they are mishanded & too often
You problem IF the codes are correct & they are not all the time,is a bad ignition module or individual coil if that is what you have
STANDING IN FRONT OF CAR TO THE LEFT ON PASSENGER SIDE CYLINDERS FACING YOU ARE 1 2 3 ON DRIVER SIDE CYLINDERS FACING YOU ARE 4 5 6 ALL THIS INFORMATION I GAVE YOU IS FOR THE 3.0L AND 3.2L DISTRIBUTORLESS ENGINE.WRITE BOTH NUMBERS I GIVE YOU 3 2 1 AND WRITE NUMBER 4 6 5 PUT NUMBER 321 ON TOP OF 465 THAT WILL BE SPARK PLUG WIRES LOCATION ON COILS.THEN ROUTE THEM TO THE CYLINDERS SPARK PLUGS.BESURE TO HOLD PAPER WITH NUMBERS I GAVE YOU NUMBERS STAND IN FRONT OF ENGINE SO YOU WONT MISLOCATE SPARK PLUG WIRES FROM COILS TO SPARK PLUGS.
Sounds like the solenoid is dirty or not functioning for going into gear.
Requires a transmission rebuild to rectify which is expensive, but effective in fixing the problem and when done, will extend the life of the transmission to that of a new one.
yes about the upper intake and the only way i know how to check the coils is with a engine anilyser or if the check engine light comes on then you can have the codes pulled and that will tell you which cylender is missfiring this engine has a indevidual coil for each spark plug so thares 6 of them and thay slide right down over the sparkplugs
without a fault code its impossible to diagnose. try pep boys or aamco or auto zone they will pull the code for you, usually for free. The code will relate to a sensor or area to be fixed. This will save you money and needless parts . post the code or codes so we can help
