2003 Chevy Silverado 1500 passenger window does not roll up or down. When I press the switch on the drivers or passenger side a click is heard. Could it be a regulator or motor?

This vehicle has a cable style regulator, which has probably snapped a cable. Replacement regulators come with a motor already installed. New aftermarket units cost around 125 to 150 and are fairly easy to install.

Passenger power window will not go up

Hello, this either the window motor or the window regulator has came apart. the most common problem is the window regulator. the window regulator is cable driven. the cables will break causing the window not to operate. you will need to pull of the door panel and makes some visual inpections

I removed the driver side door panel and discover the cable that runs the window up and down broke. How to fix?

The power window motor is serviced as a assembly. The entire window motor regulator needs to be replaced. Aftermarket parts are available and the last one that I purchased was $100.00.
Good luck

I need to take a power window motor out of my 2001 chevy silverado 2500 but dont know how

You need to replace the " regulator". this includes the motor, cables and pulleys ect. $80-100. Open door, remove door panel, cut the clear plastic around the door handle, loosen the 2 clamps on the top vertical travel rails that clamp to the window, (this is all part of the regulator) . somehow you need hold the window up, (I use a towel, 2 pieces of wood and a big clamp) now the window glass can be released from the clamps on the regulator. unbolt the regulator mechanism and replace. should take an hour or less the first time. about 10-15 minute thereafter. bc

Passenger window won't cycle up on 2001 chevy silverado 1500

If you can hear some noise on the door when switch is pressed that means you have power on the motor . The window regulator works with steel cable on plastic pulleys so what you have to check is if the cable is on the right place or if there's any broken pulley . The best choice is replace the window regulator and that will cost you about $50.00 @ local auto parts store . If you can't hear any sound could be a blow fuse , bad switch or a bad motor on the window regulator that will came on the new window regulator . Hope this help

Get a new regulator, they are not to be fixed.

Window problems

The fix for this is to replace the regulator. That is the only way you can by replacement parts, as a unit.
